Temper4iPhone (PCE emu for iPhone)

Here comes a TG-16 / PC Engine emulator for iPhone, pulled over to the iPhone by no one less than ZodTTD – who probably is responsible for most emulators available on iPhones.

Release notes:

Thanks to the amazing developer Exophase, temper4iphone is now available for jailbroken iPhone & iPod Touch users. You may know Exophase as the developer of gpSP, the Gameboy Advance emulator for the PSP & GP2X of which gpSPhone is based on. Exophase also made a Turbo Grafx-16 / Turbo-CD (PC-Engine / PC-CD) emulator for the GP2X from the ground up. temper4iphone is a port and frontend for Temper. There are many great games from the TG-16/TG-CD. These games include many shmups like Rtype Complete & Blazing Lazers, pinball games such as Devil’s Crush, and platformers such as Bonk. There is also the first Castlevania game on here called Dracula X. You can download temper4iphone v1.0.0 via Cydia in the Games section.

There is no BIOS needed for TG-16 / PC-Engine games, but you will need syscards for CD based games. Syscards should be installed after installing temper4iphone as syscard1.bin syscard2.bin syscard3.bin at: /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/TEMPER/syscard

The ./ROMs/TEMPER directories will be installed automatically upon installation of temper4iphone, in the fashion of most my emulator releases.

For CD based games you will want ISO+OGG+CUE rips. The data is ripped as CUE+ISO and the music is in OGG format. For TG-16 / PC-Engine games, their filename extension is PCE. Both the CD and ROM game files go in: /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/TEMPER

I hope you enjoy this release… Thanks!

ZodTTD

AnyTitle Deleter DB v1.0 v2 (Wii Application)

AnyTitle Deleter DB uses tona’s AnyTitle Deleter and adds several features.

Its main purpose is to list all titles (such as channels, IOS, etc…) and allow the user to delete the ones he/she wants to get rid of.

Red Squirrel released AnyTitle Deleter MOD which used an external database to associate the cryptic title IDs (such as “HAXX”) with a meaningful name (such as “Homebrew Channel”). AnyTitle Deleter DB uses his database format to achive the same goal but adds support to read the title’s name from the titles banner.bin file which is stored internally in the Wii’s NAND. Not all titles have a banner.bin – actually only channels and about half of all game saves do – but combining the banner.bin names with Red Squirrel’s database allows the user to work with a broder scope of title names.

Changes:

adding title names from the banner.bin to the external database
title names not taken from the database are marked now
an enhanced file information screen is displayed before deleting a title
made some space so more titles can be displayed on screen at once
internal code cleanup
when compiling a constant in main.c can be set to hard reboot instead of return to loader
another constant can disable brick protection on recompile
warning messages are displayed throughout the program when brick protection is off
