The Meating (WIP) (NES Game)

The guys at Mega Cat Studios have a new game in the pipe. The Meating will come to a NES near you sometime in the future. The story is also a bit odd… but well, why not.

Become a ghost minotaur on the quest to put his meat back together in this puzzle platformer. Use pyrokinesis, possession and an array of other ghost skills to solve puzzles, and the mystery of who butchered you.

Retail Clerk ’89 (August 2019) (Genesis Game)

Hugues Johnson got in touch with us again to point at his final version of his Sega Genesis game Retail Clerk ’89.

Retail Clerk ’89 started as a personal exercise to learn Sega Genesis programming. It’s now a complete, albeit short, game demo. Although originally inspired by Phantasy Star II and III it morphed into more of an interactive fiction / casual adventure game.

Unless you find bugs and let Hugues know, this might be the final release.

Rollie (Kickstarter) (NES Game)

Rollie is a brand new side-scrolling platformer NES game by Optovania and has 16 huge stages of gameplay. Power-ups and secrets can be found scattered throughout the levels and checkpoints exist along the way. Each stage ends in a boss battle.

Rollie (NES) - trailer

Rollie and Lorrie are on a mission to save their forest, Paradise Gorge. Their goal is to defeat the brats and bullies who have seized power in the midst of an unstable ecosystem precipitated by a sudden overpopulation of snakes. They aim to lead as examples, to show how sharing and sacrifice are rewarding, and that rampant self-serving brutality perpetuates destruction.
