Super Mario War v1.7 (April Fool Edition) (Pandora Game Port)

Super Mario War is a Super Mario multiplayer game. The goal is to stomp as many other Marios as possible to win the game. It’s a tribute to Nintendo and the game Mario War by Samuele Poletto.

The game uses artwork and sounds from Nintendo games. The authors hope that this noncommercial fangame qualifies as fair use work. They just wanted to create this game to show how much they adore Nintendo’s characters and games.

Pandora-XPilot v4.7.3 (Pandora Game Port)

XPilot is a multi-player 2D space game. Some features are borrowed from classics like the Atari coin-ups Asteroids and Gravitar, and the home-computer games Thrust (Commodore 64) and Gravity Force (Commodore Amiga), but XPilot has many new aspects too.

XPilot is a true open source project that has forked into several development lines. The first development line (aka “classic”) had many contributors and a core set of developers.

Rocks N Diamonds (18-08-2010) (Pandora Game Port)

This game recreates the engines of Boulder Dash, Emerald Mine, Supaplex and Sokoban, and does so faithfully enough to be able to replay the original games. However, it doesn’t stop there. The game evolved enough to be able to use elements from all 4 games at the same time, use of custom behaviour elements and all sort of trickery that can turn the game in something completely different.

Thanks to this customizability, the game has spawned hundreds and hundreds of custom levels. Highlights include Snakebite, R’n’D jue special collection or the Zelda adventures. Also for the more purists, thousands of the original levels for the original Emerald Mine, Supaplex, Boulderdash and Sokoban are available, converting this game almost into an ultimate collection.

Release notes:

Todo:
Unfortunately I use software scaling to fit the screen into the pandoras resulting in ugly aliasing. A OpenGL ES scaling will probably follow once I learn how to use it.

Final notes:
To put the extra levels, run the game once, search for a folder in its appdata folder called .rocksndiamonds/levels and drop everything there.
Finally, I really recommend do the tutorial, as it teaches all of the basic elements and its interactions as well as stuff like the tape recorder which comes handy to avoid replaying the same part over and over again (though it is slow to do so, overclocking will help here).
And yes, I love this game.

This is a port of Zelda Classic to the Pandora gaming console. It is based on unofficial sources, but release in binary form was allowed by Dark Nation of Zelda Classic.

Beyond that, Zelda Classic allows the development of new quests that can use either the traditional graphics or enhanced graphics, as well as new enemies, items, and challenges.

Allegro v4.4.1.1 (Pandora misc)

Allegro is a portable library mainly aimed at video game and multimedia programming, originally started by Shawn Hargreaves.

Release notes:

Well, on another thread I compiled Allegro for the Pandora, it was just a normal compilation from the source using CMake, now I added some ARM flags to the compilation and got a nice speed up, I am just releasing a compiled version (with all headers and dev files), if someone wants to take a quick shot at compiling some allegro program.

SBaGen (16-08-2010) (Pandora Application)

SBaGen generates binaural tones in real-time according to a 24-hour programmed sequence read from a file. It can also be used to play a sequence on demand, rather than according to the clock, or to write a WAV file for playing later. Pink noise, MP3 and Ogg files (since version 1.2.0) may also be mixed with the binaural beats to provide background sounds.
