Microfi Nitrogen v0.3.2 (PPC Application)

Microfi Nitrogen is a native Windows Mobile application (unmanaged code) that allows you to play MP3 songs stored on your Pocket PC device.

It features a file browser, full skin support, “Shuffle” and “Repeat” modes, a 10-band equalizer with preset support, a built-in sleep mode and a command to blank screen to prevent energy waste while playing music. Nitrogen uses the MAD decoder, which is opensource. As the official releases of MAD for Pocket PC seem to be discontinued, Nitrogen uses the libraries from an opensource player (GSPlayer).

Nitrogen was build due to the lack of finger-friendly players for Pocket PC (you have to use stylus even for simple tasks). It features large buttons and you can browse among your playlist by drawing circles on the screen (tapping in the appropriate space). In future releases the program will be expected to have other extensions support and more features, but such things are still being tested to ensure stability and efficiency.

Slide2Unlock2 (S2U2) v1.50 (PPC Application)

S2U2 (Slide2Unlock2) is a simple lock/unlock application which has the iPhone style slide unlocking. It can be used as a screensaver while you don’t use your device. It has a CallerID function (but some devices may not work, so please try it first); S2P control plugin; and volume control.

Changes:

– added animated transitions.
– added Password lock, set/change the password via S2U2 Settings.
– added option to ask to send a busy SMS after rejected an incoming call. The default content of the busy SMS is stored at lang.ini (make sure the lang.ini is saved in UNICODE format).
– added option to hide S2P control even S2P is running.
– added options (AppointmentLine & AlignAppointment) to change the format the Appointment info shown.
– optionally to display the operator’s logo.
The logo filename must exactly match with the operator’s name with PNG extension (e.g. orange.png); it must be placed under the folder GFXOperator;
For QVGA device, the logo has to be smaller than 16 pixels high; while for VGA, it has to be smaller than 32 pixels high.
Since there are a lot of operators in the world, only a few samples are included in the installation.
To switch back to display operator in text, delete the Operator folder & restart iLock2.
– added optional Haptic Feedback, but it may not work on some devices.
– added a flight mode icon.
– added to show the caller number property when the system found it.
– added a second-hand to analog clock – “clockAS”.
To turn it on, the clock folder must have cs0.png ~ cs14.png.
To turn it off, remove cs0.png ~ cs14.png from the clock folder.
– added a Diamond-style clock – “clockD”, but no flipping animation.
Both new clock styles are included in the S2U2ClockPack.rar (QVGA or VGA).
– removed options “BlankStart” & “SafeMode” which caused confusion & malfunction in the past.
– fixed the Home key lock of Touch Diamond/Pro/HD.
– fixed the occasional problem that under Power Save mode,
the device behaved weirdly when another program running in the background (again).
– “NoPowerSuspend” now works under Power Save mode as well.
But not sure will the power be saved anymore as they are conflicting each other.
– fixed the occasional problem that the system hang at the CallerID screen.
– added CallerID support to Turkish device.
– hide “Top Curtain” will also hide the topmost grey curtain.
– added an Excel file to descrip the detail settings of S2U2.
– some graphics changed.
– some minor bugs fixed.

ScummVM (Rev 38811) (Wii misc)

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

Changes:

– Remapped keys: Home=F5, Up=GMM.
– Predictive input enabled (hold right) for AGI.

This release is a infrequent build from the Subversion trunk.

Frodo v7 (C64 emu for Wii)

Frodo is a Commodore 64 emulator written by Christian Bauer ( http://frodo.cebix.net ). It was ported to the Wii by Simon Kagstrom and does not share any code with FrodoWii.

It has only been tested in 480i mode on a PAL TV (the 50Hz mode gives me a headache). Sound support is slightly buggy, but usable. The emulation is not perfect, so all games will not run under Frodo. If you have multiple versions of a game, try each of them as often at least one will work.

Put .t64 or .d64 files in /apps/frodo/images on your SD card. The in-game menu allows you to insert disks/tapes, load them and configure the display, joystick ports etc. Saves will be stored on the SD card and the preferences are stored persistently. Wiimote 1 is by default the joystick in port 1 and wiimote 2 the joystick in port 2, but you can swap this.

Changes:

Make binding joystick directions to other buttons as well (to be able to jump with e.g., 1)
The direction buttons can also be bound to keyboard keys
Exit with SYS_RETURNTOMENU to make WAD’s work
Some restructuring and minor bug fixes here and there
Lots and lots of new code which won’t get executed here 🙂
