Real Game Boy games are a challenge to code, not only you have to deal with restriction such as low CPU power, also the limited color scale (if you can talk about colors at these grey scales at all) is distracting new coders to get familiar with this system.
HuCABBAGE is one of the newer homebrew coders who picked up the challenge and the result is The Bouncing Ball, initially released for the GB Jam 4.
Guide your bouncing balls around obstacles or try to avoid them at all. There are really plenty of levels, which makes this game outstanding.
Aseprite is an open source program to create animated sprites. Sprites are little images that can be used in your website or in a video game. You can draw characters with movement, intros, textures, patterns, backgrounds, logos, color palettes, isometric levels, etc.
What makes ASEPRITE different? It focuses on pixel editing, to do pixel-art. Indeed, it isn’t a photo retouching tool or a vector graphics editor. Mainly it is a tool to create tiny animations pixel-by-pixel.
Garoudan by nevat is a game close to Choplitfer, but your aim is not to save humans, the aim is to kill ’em all. The game is work in progress and there is no binary to download yet.
Sprybug is working on a new Atari VCS game named Robot Zed. The game is like a mix of Mega Man and Kirby with some new game mechanics. There is no demo yet, but two screenshots.
