Kojote sick (misc)

Dear visitors,

As everyone may noticed the news are almost zero these day, I am not feeling fine and I have to recover from a lung infection.

Kedo is busy with regular work so the page probably wont see many updates in the comming few days as well.

Give me some more time to be back on track 🙂

Thanks for your understanding!

Sqrxz v0.9.9.5 (DC Game)

Sqrxz requires fast reflexes and is a simply mindblasting Jump’n’Run puzzle game with high frustration factor.

Storyline:

While Sqrxz wandered around on a sunny day, he was unaware that he had lost all his items while enjoying the scenery. It was already dark until he recognized the loss. There was no possibilty, but to go back where he started the trip and save his things. If the loss was not already enough, strange creatures appeared. Will they be helpful?

Sqrxz (2010) is a remake of a game with the same name and has been created by Rodolphe Boixel (Thor), Shahzad Sahaib (Kojote), Simon Butler and Brendan Ratliff (Syphus). Minor support came from Marcus Vesterlund himself who also gave permission to redo his game. Denny Müller (Mulle) supported the team with a WordPress-Theme for the official page and Rabia Sahaib (Mahek) made three more levels.

A remake should be usually bearing improvements, so does Sqrxz 2010. Beside the “classic” graphic mode, there is a new mode with “deluxe” graphics. The main gameplay has modified in a way that you need to collect all items to open the door at the end of each level, which makes some levels harder than they actually already were. Extended “fun” is guarantueed with additional three levels, unseen before. Each level does have it’s own chiptune and adds up to the retro feeling. A Top 10 highscore table will hold all your records. For the ones who like hidden features, there is even a small easter egg!

Features:

* Hardly any game will annoy you more! Frustration deluxe ahead!
* Amiga’ish feeling!
* 16 Levels including a “beginners” level
* 18 Chiptunes
* Classic AND new graphic mode
* Top 10 highscore
* Endless continue mode
* Hidden easter egg

Changes:

* Improved collision
* Improved controls
* Added “Dali” quote in startup
* Removed donation nag in end, donations are still welcome.
* Fixed highscore glitch

The Dreamcast port is courtesy of Indiket 🙂Sqrxz is available in the flavors Windows, Amiga OS4, MorphOS, NetBSD, Symbian OS, Dreamcast, Pandora!

Kens Labyrinth v0.0.2 (Pandora Game Port)

Ken’s Labyrinth is a first-person shooter DOS game, released in 1993 by Epic Megagames (now called Epic Games). It was mostly coded by Ken Silverman. Ken’s Labyrinth is graphically similar to id Software’s Wolfenstein 3D in that the levels were designed using a grid-based plane, resulting in perpendicular walls and textureless floors and ceilings. Arguably its most astounding feature was the existence of interactive sprites and textures, like slot machines.

PSPedict v0.4 (PSP misc)

PSPedict is a general Japanese <-> English dictionary with many japanese Japanese entries. You can search in English via the On Screen Keyboard (OSK), or in Japanese using Hiragana / Katakana. It is also possible to search using Kanji from a Kanji Popup window, or when navigating through the Kanjidic fil. You can save and load found sets, and store up to 2000 entries in each of the four study lists.

Changes:

– Kanji seach by SKIP code: This works only with the English OSK (triangle). Start the input with #. Next write the SKIP code separated by spaces. For example, input #1 4 5 searches kanjis that belong to the first pattern. Left character should have 4 strokes and right 5 strokes. You may also use number 0 as a meaning of anything.

– Kanji search by stroke count: Again you need to use the English OSK and start the input with #. Then comes the number of strokes. E.g. #3 searches kanjis that have a stroke count of 3.

– Kanji search by SKIP and stroke count: You may combine the previous two methods by writing the SKIP code first and then the stroke count. E.g. #1 0 0 5 searches all kanjis that belong to the pattern 1 and have a stroke count of 5.

– Hide kanji/kana/description: Added a new option to hide these from every menu.

– Custom dictionary: A new dictionary that the user may use for adding his/her own words and definitions. You may use JWPce for this. The file already has a few examples, so you know what you should be doing. Remember to save the file as custom.sjs if you don’t overwrite the existing one.

– Randomize Study List: While in Study List, press select. Not a perfect algorithm, but works. The location of the arrow selection has some effect.

– Some minor bugs: There are some minor bugs when the new features are used; some I could even call as “features”. E.g. kanjidic has a habit to randomize when the new search method is used. Hey, it may be a good thing! Shouldn’t have any major ones, though. However, I am already aware of a few not-completely-user-friendly bugs. Those are pretty minor, nevertheless.

corenting has updated his game “Plus Or Minus DS”.

Quote:

The DS will think to a number between 40 and 70. You will have to find it. Choose a number (always between 40 and 70 of course) and press A. The DS will say to you Plus if the number is higher than the one you choose. The DS will say to you Minus if the number is lower than the one you choose. The game continues like that until you find the good number.
