Hi.. here’s my first attempt at DS homebrew.. a minigame type thing…. MAGNETIC SHAVING DERBY!

I made it for a little coding compo where you had to use a random game name generator to come up with a name, and then make it into a game.

It’s not coded well. I’m a noob, learning C++ as I go. Most of my coding experience is with BlitzMax, though I did mess around with Turbo Pascal and C years ago. Having stacks of fun making stuff for the DS! This is the first game I’ve come anywhere close to finishing :O

S2V is a stylus-free picture viewing application. It can also be used to set up the wallpapers for S2U2 (0.97 or later); assign a pic to a contact; set it as Today’s wallpaper; or send it via MMS/email.

Changes:

– added sort option by time or name.
– added thumbnail pic cache (the cache folder can be custom by the registry value “CacheFolder” at HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareA_CS2V).
– added send function to send a pic via MMS/email.
– added sliding effect when zooming a pic.
– added support to RealVGA.
– reduced the chances of blank screen when a device has enough memory.
– separate CAB files for QVGA(low-res) & VGA(high-res) devices.
– changed some menu labels; for non-English translation, pls refer to the lang.ini file.
– fixed some minor bugs.

PSP-Maps is a homebrew application to bring Google Maps, Virtual Earth and Yahoo! Maps to the PSP with a simple interface. This program is not using the Google Maps API (except for address search), it is retrieving the images directly using the wireless connection.

You can search for an address, add/load favorites, or just move around on the map. There is also a local cache which allows you to browse the maps offline.

PSP-Maps is released under GPL so the source code is available.

Shooter is a 2D puzzle/action platformer.

Shooter takes place in the ordinary world of a young teenager. You’re just minding your own business playing with some buddies at a park when a familiar face approaches you.

Jimmy asks you if you want to go get a bite to eat, and so you say “sure”. As you begin to walk away with Jimmy, something unimaginable unfolds. After being pushed into a puddle by Jimmy, and being knocked out, your world gets turned upside down. You are pushed into a fictional world full of dangers, monsters, and mysteries. You must push on to survive.

A japanese coder released the first emulator for Playstation 3 using BD-J. Beside emulating the NES (the rom has to be called rom.nes) it can also display .gif .png and jpg pictures.
