Santa Factory is the legendary workshop where Santa Claus is said to make the toys and presents given out at Christmas. December is a busy month in this factory, elves have to pack all the presents before the eve night.
In this game you play as an elf controlling a packing line. You have a list of wishes and you have to combine the desired toys according to it. You are allowed to make some wrong packs (after all “do not look a gift horse in the mouth”), but too many mistakes and Xmas could be ruined.
In the Puzzle mode you have a list of presents for every day of December from 8th to 24th and you have to pack them in a limited amount of time. In the Arcade mode you play in the last minutes before the eve night and have to pack as many gifts as you can without mistakes. There is a time limit, but at every good pack you make Santa gives you some more time with his magic.
At Songbird Productions you can now purchase Xump by Retroguru for your Atari Lynx! The game ROM will stay free of charge. This is not to be confused with Xump 2.
Help Holger to clean up deserted space fields. As this is a very dangerous task for a human being a headbot named Xump will be the one who has to suffer.
Your main task is to clean all dissolving tiles on several single-screen levels by simply stepping on them, one by one. Few fields are secured with mines and need a double tap. Mines can be blown up when passing by or disarmed by Xump when staying on this specific field for a short moment. Certainly the mission sounds easier than it will be.
While modern game development often relies on a framework like Unity, retro game developers have a similar tool named 8bit-Unity. It’s the ultimate game SDK for 80s computers.
The next update will add support for Oric 1/Atmos and Atari Lynx.
Retroguru are currently taking part in the Revision 2019 Game-Development Comeptition. The showed us a nice conversion of their puzzle game Xump for the Atari Lynx. The digital download is free, a cartridge release is planed later this year.
