Warlords DS (NDS Game Source Code)

beatwho has released the source-code of his turn based strategy game Warlords DS.

Release notes:

9/10/2007 – The source code is now available in the downloads section. I basically went through cleaning up classes that werent needed and joined classes together. There were a few issues with the compiler when i did this so the FSM stuff looks kinda dodgy. The grunt of the work is in the gamevar class, in the Update() function. Any questions about the code can be sent to the email address at the bottom of the page.

The game source code itself is free for anybody to use as long as you dont pass off the work as your own (you dont even have to mention me!), the art, of course, including the art source files remain the property of Lobo and you will need specific permission from him to use.

If you are feeling generous and want to incorporate any changes you make into my codebase then please email the source files and Ill see what I can do about merging it into the current codebase. If this happens enough Ill set up an svn server or something to use.

NES.app v1.1.2 (NES emu for iPhone)

NES.app is a Nintendo emulator for Apple’s iPhone. NES.app uses a modified version of the popular InfoNES emulation core to mimic the 6502 processor in a Nintendo Entertainment System, allowing you to play ROM dumps of games designed for the NES console. ROM dumps are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM dump of any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.

NES.app started as a fork of iPhoneNES v0.01, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features including full sound, game genie codes, saved games, battery-saved ram support, and full screen support.

Changes since v1.1.1:

Fixed memory reading issues breaking Toki, maybe others

Sketches v0.1 (Alpha) (iPhone Application)

Sketches is a drawing application for iPhone’s.

Sketches 0.1 alpha already allows you to draw on the screen, select a picture from the photo album or shoot a photo to draw on top of it. It will save your work automatically, unless you clear it using the button or shaking your iPhone like an etch-a-sketch. You can draw full-screen: the UI will hide when you tap on the screen.

Future releases will include many improvements, such as the ability to select pencils and colors, a library of stationary to use for your background, geometric shapes, complex shapes (stamps), saving your work to the photo library (so that you can synchronize back to your computer), and many other ideas we will be thrilled to develop.

Thanks to http://www.emuholic.com for the news.

PSP Wave Changer v1.4 (PSP Application)

This application by Akez flashes “own waves” to a PSP. Regarding the author it is fairly easy to use and it shouldnt brick your PSP unless the file you select to copy is not a system_plugin_bg.rco file.

Changes:

EDIT: I checked the upload that i put on megauploads and it looks like i hadnt included all the files. I have now added all the files and have added a check to see if the battery is lower than 5% and if it is, it wont change the wave. I have updated the link and checked it this time.

Upgrader – Downgrader for v3.11 PSPs (PSP misc)

Direct news from Fanjita:

At last! We promised a solution to help people trapped on firmware v3.11 by Sony’s dirty tricks, and here it is.

As you may know, if you have a TA-082/TA-086 motherboard , then if you downgraded your PSP to v1.50, its idstorage keys will have been patched during downgrading to avoid bricking. The latest official Sony firmwares (3.30 onwards) detect this patch, and refuse to allow you to upgrade. Without a hardware solution, this can leave you trapped on v3.11 firmware, with no way to upgrade, and no way to downgrade.

This release consists of HEN for v3.11, plus a v3.11 downgrader, and an idstorage key fixer for v3.11. This allows you the choice of either

* staying on v3.11 to run homebrew
* downgrading to v1.50 to run homebrew or install custom firmwares, or
* upgrading to official Sony firmwares v3.30 or beyond.
