News from Metalbrain:
Hi all!
Even though screen emulation ain’t 100% perfect yet, I promised a fix for F200 users this weekend, and right now it’s already better than the last version, so here it is:
http://www.speccy.org/metalbrain/GP2Xpectrum1.5b2.zip
What’s new:
– Small timing fixes.
– Screen rendering code has been totally rewritten from scratch, and now border is completely
emulated (Sentinel letters can be seen), and visual effects of many demos are finally perfect
(Overscan, Shock and similar). Some demos (such as MDA) are still failing though.
– On F200 model, battery level ain’t polled, avoiding the resulting massive slowdown on
that model.Beware: I don’t have a F200 model, so the fix for F200 haven’t been tested, but I think it should work.
The team behind Gianas Return are about to adjust the tileset of the snow world. A preview screenshot has been posted just a minute ago.
Franxis has updated his marvellous GP2x port of MAME.
Changes:
– Border TV-Out emulation. See the readme.txt for the information to activate it.
– The controls have been changed for coherence with other applications (B is the first button).
– The PUSH button in the F200 is emulated pressing Up+Down+Left+Right simultaneously.
