LOCKJAW is a tetromino stacking game that lets you set the rules. It’s a free software implementation of the Soviet Mind Game, a highly popular computer puzzle game that involves guiding tetrominoes into a well. (That is, LOCKJAW is to Tetris as GNU is to UNIX.) It includes over 20 options for making variations to the game rules, as well as “gimmicks” for practicing specific skill areas. It is known to run on PC, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS.
The Snowman is a new release from Foxy – due to lack of french knowledge and refusal of releasing rubbish Bablefish translation, you can get more information in original language at it’s release thread.
James Monkman aka Heavy Stylus, editor and owner of RGCD.co.uk – has added one more GBA homebrew in real cartridge form to his shop. Everything is sold on a non commercial, non profit base.
Here are the news:
Paradise Games and RGCD Present the Christmas Double Pack!
29th November 2007 by James MonkmanParadise Games and RGCD have teamed to present you with a seasonal GBA special; our Christmas Double Pack!
For the last couple of years, Ian and the rest of the Paradise team have entered the Christmas game development competition hosted by www.drunkencoders.com, winning the competition in 2005, and being unfairly placed at a considerably lower position in 2006. After playing their games extensively I had a brainwave; perhaps Paradise Games would be interested in working with RGCD to create some sort of Christmas-themed compilation for our readers? A few emails later and the Paradise/RGCD Christmas Double Pack GBA cart was born.
So what do you get for the bargain UK POUNDS 5.50 price tag? Limited to 50 copies, the double-pack (which is a deliberately erroneous title as the cart actually includes a third hidden game..!) contains both Santa’s Chimney Challenge and Santa’s Skidoo Scarper; arguably the best Christmas themed releases to grace the GBA platform. Visit the Shop and buy your copy today!
POWDER is a roguelike game. It is not a port of an existing roguelike. It is built around replayability and long term ergonomics, not short term learning. It uses actual graphic tiles (16×16) rather than the traditional characters.
Changes:
When you are prompted to cast a spell you cam hit [SELECT] or [i] or [?] to get help on that spell. (Arthur Littlefield)
Eating a book temporarily grants you the spells/skills in the book. (Fancy Carrot)
Gold Beetles are now hostile if you are wearing anything they want.
If timed unchanging expires the same turn as stoning takes effect, there is no longer the risk that the unchanging will expire first and thus turn you to stone. (Yes, this happened to me.)
All creatures will now eat if they are not full, not just special ones like gelatinous cubes.
Hungry creatures will pick up food that they can eat.
RNG seed saved to hiscore table so starting games on the GBA should become more varied.
Torches and flamingswords are extinguished by dropping into water.
More consistent behaviour of lava/greekfire/acid/water with item interaction.
New spells: Wizard’s Eye, Possess.
Artifact armour that has a melee attack will now allow you to attack appropriately on occasion. Ie, a head butt, punch, or kick with the helmet, ring, or boots. Improvised Weapons skill will greatly increase the chance of this happening.
One more room.
This is a logic puzzle game for the GBA. The idea behind the game is to create concentric loops using the random pieces given.
LodeRunner is a LodeRunner clone for Gameboy Advance by Consolecoder.
Ever played LLamatron? Then this is for you! Shoot everything that moves and collect powerups to gain more strenght.
You are holding in your hands the most addictive, brain boggling puzzle ever created. The object of the puzzle is simple…turn the LIGHTS OUT. It seems so easy…at first. The problem is that every toggle of a light has an effect on the puzzle. Lights that are on will shut off, and “off” lights will turn on.
