Madelman has updated his Nintendo NES emulator Phamicom for the GP2x. Changes:
Using rlyeh’s minilib instead of SDL. Improved speed. Now all games I tested are playable.
Miyu has updated Sterm for the GP2x. It is a terminal emulation program with virtual keyboard input.
Original Author: jochang. I’ve just recompiled and changed it a bit.
Relevant changes to 0.1:
Cause the 1.2.0 firmware comes with a incompatible (to sterm 0.1) version of the SDL libs and I hate installing libs for such an essential program like a terminal anyway, I linked the binary staticly. This results in about 700kb extra size, but when you bricked and reinstalled your GP2X several times like I have, you`ll agree it is worth the pain.Furthermore, the X Button now is equal to the SPACE key. One of the most forgotten mappings in 0.1
FireSlash has updated his game LumiDS for the Nintendo DS. LumiDS is a game similare to the PSP puzzle game”Lumines”.
Added music. The song will automagically cycle itself during game play. Added sound effects. Replaced default arm7 lib with custom one. Hacked around a bug that caused the sweep bar to display under the blocks. (Someone PLEASE fix glOrtho. Please? Loading screen now unloads itself. Added block queue on the top screen Blocks marked but not swept now properly un-mark after the sweep has finished. Download is now split into two files… data and binaries. Numerous (potential) gameplay bug fixes.
Skeezix has updated his Atari ST emulator Outcast to version 003. New in this version:
NEW: Virtual keyboard — needed for entering text or function keys etc of course, but also to get into a lot of games; the crack groups often put loader demos, or multiple games on a disk, and so you sometimes need to hit spacebar, or a number, of function key. Of course, some games require keyboard controls, too. NEW: Input modes a little more defined FIX: YM chipmusic is pretty good now, though sample playback is still asshat; I’ll work on that more. Always running out of time 😉 NOTE: Most of the START runtime menu should work fine now; CPU Mhz setting isn’t yet available, but throttle and frameskip and disk management and savestates and control modes should all be working! CHG: Welcome screen text
