Rako has ported yet another NEC PC-8801 emulator to the Nintendo Wii.
This time it’s a port of QUASI88, programmed by Fukunaga.
The policy of this port is the minumum change. You must not ask Fukunaga about this Wii version.
Thanks to http://www.tehskeen.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=13589 for the news.

AVEC is a Vector map viewer capable of displaying and navigating mapss in the common Polish format maps. If the map file has street information, the program tells you what street you are in, or lookup the name of a street selected with the crosshair.
Release notes:
Hi Guys,
Here is the release of AVEC GPS V3 (1.50 kernel) version. I’m still looking for a company to sponsor me with a PSP-290 GPS accessory so newer firmware versions can be supported with a live GPS mode.
This one can track your position on the map in real time with any serialy connected GPS device compatible with the MapThis! program, including Garmin and Hollux brand recievers.
V3 also has a “Find Place by Name” feature that will find any place on the map. The text entry system for this feature has auto complete like commercial GPS units.
A Windows MP Conversion Tool is included with this release for producing files of the new MPI type which allow fast searching for real time GPS navigation.
MP files can also be converted with AVEC on the PSP, but the PC program is much faster.
Keep an eye out for updates, and please vote for AVEC in the Neoflash 2009 Coding Competition. If I win any cash prize, it will be used to purchase the PSP-290 USB GPS so support for it can be implemented in a future version.
Cheers, Art.

jgc146 updated his game Poppin’ where the aim is to pop as many balloons as possible with your stylus!
Release notes:
Hi all I’ve found a little bit of time to update Poppin’ a little hope you like it.
I have added some music ………. at last. My first attempt at music on the DS so don’t go too hard on me ok. I composed the tune on my guitar ( where it sounds the best ) and used Milkytracker and some samples to get it onto the DS. There is also a drum beat which could probably use additional work.
also I have found some better samples for the clicker and pop sounds.
thats about it.
enjoy
Jim

ZLaunchy was written mainly for those who like the way Windows Mobile dialer allows searching for contacts in a T9-like way – so that finding Adam means choosing 2326 in the phone application. ZLaunchy uses the same idea to run programs on your device. What it does is gives you a dialer keypad and when you type in a series of digits, it searches for all programs that match – for example to start Internet Explorer, start typing 4683 – Internet Explorer and Internet Sharing should show up in the result list.
Application performs a search using all items in the Start Menu. It also skips showing application icons, which causes it to work faster than usual application launchers. This makes ZLaunchy a perfect candidate for an application that’s bound to a hardware key (using system settings) and have it always handy when you want to find an application quickly.
Changes:
* Added support for square QVGA (240×240 and 320×320) devices
* Support for entering digits or text using hardware keyboard
* Configuration panel – vibration feedback, additional search location
* Added possibility of searching My Documents and one additional directory (multiple directories coming soon)
* Searching for strings not only at beginning of words (by appending 1 at the end)
* Optionally run on startup – starts and hides ZLaunchy in the background
* Minor bugfixes
