Books.app is a simple eBook reader for the iPhone. It reads HTML and text files stored in your Media/EBooks folder, and is smart enough to enter subdirectories, if, for instance, you’ve broken a book down by chapters.
Changes:
If a file doesn’t display correctly, try a new text encoding. Text encoding is now user-overrideable in the Preferences pane.
Mark all your files as new!
Mark the current directory as new! If you’re re-reading a book, mark all its chapters as new.
Many bug fixes.

Here is a simple, yet useful homebrew app for anyone who prefers running an older firmware version; whether it be 1.50, or an aged version of Dark_AleX’s OE. The concept is simple: flash the bundled index.dat & version.txt files from a later firmware version. Many newer PSP titles/demos require the most recent, so this should result in a successful launch. It also creates a backup and provides a method to restore your original files. Straight forward, and to the point.

PSPVice is a port of VICE, an C64 emulator, to PSP by Christophe Koler.
Changes:
What’s new :
– Stereo effect on sound output
– Subdirectories support. User can now browse any directory of the memory stick.
– Update to latest VICE version (1.22)
– Add autofire option. Two speeds available.
– VIC20 standalone version.
– PLUS4 standalone version.
– “Shifted” keyboard GFX added (thank to Shabanak)
– Small speed improvment (unfortunatly still not enough for some few games like Cauldron2).
– PSP icons are hidden now ( __SCE__ method ).
– Welcome text at load time (instead of black screen)
– New menus organisation
Bug fixed :
– .NFO Comments fully displayed.
– Fixed “RESTORE key works only once” bug. (from VICE core team)
– Fixed crash when using game files with very long file names.
– Disk files can be saved, but this need to be done manually (by detaching disk). Menu is now more clear and doc on web page describes how to save disks (the feature was in PSPVice1.0).
– P00 files can be launched now.
What is still not working :
– Mouse emulation
– Plus4 and Vic20 are rough ports. Need more polishing.

Here comes a new version of VCS Tool Pack v0.015:
Menu Maker:
Allows you to make on-screen menus that will show any text that you want, along with adding the ability to scroll up/down the menu without you coding a thing!
Button Cheat Maker:
Outputs Cheat Device code that will check if a button is pressed, so that you can add stuff later on to be executed on button press
Description on how to use each tool is included in the readme.txt, although it should be easy to work with right off the back.

Michael is working on a “some kind of bombjack” remake for A2600.
Release notes:
You can already jump around and collect bombs, but no enemies and a couple of other glitches. I am currently working on the platform part of the game, so you cannot jump from a platform, nor do they hinder you. The walls dont work as well yet. Should be done around the next days though.
