Trying to fathom how a particular piece of User Interface design will actually look on an iPod Touch or iPhone can be difficult – what’s really needed is to be able to see the design on the device itself. Since repeated round-trips through Xcode to the device and back can be time-consuming, this application aims to provide a better (and somewhat more portable) answer!
Fast Fonts simply lists all installed Fonts Families, with variants (bold, etc.) chosen by tapping ‘Font Name’. When a selection is made, the lower half of the page will update to match. This text can be edited by tapping on it; for ease of use short lengths are automatically centred whilst longer ones are left-justified.
This application is a Unicode font browser, color browser, and keyboard keystroke browser. It’s useful for Web designers, software developers, colorists, font fans, X windows users, and people customizing AirMote Remote Control app buttons.
