The Chinese Pandora Story (Pandora misc)

Most of you are familiar with the OpenPandora project. It’s the possibly smallest portable Linux PC for gaming, browsing, coding, business work, remote administration, music playing and emulation. The audience of the Pandora is growing every day, not only since the production problems are history and mass shipping has to be expected soon.

Mr. Wang Ha from Wanha Electrics Co LTD from China offers the Pandora for sale, at a marvellous price of US$ 166 only, comparing to the official pre-order price of EUR 370 this seems to be a lucky bargain. But be careful; even Michael Mrozek, CEO of the OpenPandora GmbH, was quite surprised and can not legitimate this company in any way.

It’s most likely to be a cheap copy of poor quality if you recieve something at all. Understanding that most users are extremely desperate for a Pandora, put your hands off and save yourself some unnecessary troubles.

DS2x86 v0.34 (DOS emu for NDS)

DS2x86 by Patrick Aalto is a PC emulator for Nintendo DS. It’s purpose is to allow you to run old DOS games on your Nintendo DS game console. DS2x86 is a port of DSx86 port using the SuperCard DSTwo’s MIPS processor, therefor it will just run with such a card.

Changes:

– Improved SoundBlaster emulation using the new transfer system.
– Improved high-resolution (>= 350 rows) graphics modes scaling quality.
– Implemented preliminary VESA SVGA support, for 640×400 and 640×480 256-color modes.
– Implemented “scasb” opcode EGA VRAM access version (Titus the Fox)
– Fixed a bug in “shld r/m16,r16,imm8” and “shrd r/m16,r16,imm8” opcodes.
– Fixed a bug in “idiv r/m16” which could destroy the high 16 bits of EAX register.
– Fixed the VideoParameterTable to have correct VGA Misc Register values in text modes.
– Minor changes to mouse emulation, for better support of SVGA graphics modes.

Battle for Wesnoth v1.10.1.1 (Pandora Game Port)

The Battle for Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy game with a fantasy theme.

Build up a great army, gradually turning raw recruits into hardened veterans. In later games, recall your toughest warriors and form a deadly host against whom none can stand! Choose units from a large pool of specialists, and hand-pick a force with the right strengths to fight well on different terrains against all manner of opposition.

Release notes:

This is the brand new stable Wesnoth series. Savegames from 1.9.x should be compatible. If you are using 1.9.x at the moment, please replace this now outdated package by 1.10.x. If you want to you can rename your appdata/wesnoth-1.9 folder to appdata/wesnoth-1.10 to continue using your old settings.

If you are still using 1.8.x: That series is also replaced by this release. Though for the old 1.8 appdata it is not recommended to be used with 1.10. The savegames might still somehow work, but it is likely that you will at least notice incompatibilities. Better to start a new with 1.10!

Changes:

* All upstream changes.
