French developer Vetea comes up with another project for the Sega Mega Drive. Bomb on Basic City can be played online or locally by downloading it’s ROM. Help Papi Commando bombing down buildings using the gravity or “Tetris” destruction mode.

This game is currently in progress, so make sure to keep an eye at it. Regular updates are expected.

Log week # 6

Hey everyone, I am back for another news update.

So, i am been feeling better but not 100%. I managed to get some art done for this week, though, so everything is on track.

These are a few of the main characters you’ll be in contact with in the game in act 1. I will reveal who they are as I build a demo of Act 1, after more art is completed. Still need the rest of the main chars, plus the generic npc sprites that will be in the game.

Anyhow, I will see you next week with more progress hopefully!

Garoudan by nevat is a game close to Choplitfer, but your aim is not to save humans, the aim is to kill ’em all. The game is work in progress and there is no binary to download yet.

Star Chaser is yet another homebrew by Sik. This Genesis game supports up to four players at the same time, who need to chase an randomly appearing star on the playing field. What sounds simple, can be rather fun and should not be underestimated. Only downside is that the game has no sound at the moment, but this might change if the coder can find a musician.

Miniplanets is a new Genesis/Megadrive game in development by German developer Sik. This arcade type game contains stages 1-1 to 1-9 for now. The video below pretty much shows the game play and we are happily looking forward to enjoy the full game.

Log week # 5

This week, i spent a little bit of time on the game design document. But mostly i am having some physical issues with my upper abdominal area, which is giving me recurring shortness of breath and low blood pressure. No health insurance (America) so, i am going to slow down from time to time, and work on my good days. But, i will indeed continue progress. Although, i am not going to bump the thread for this week.

Interview with Piko Interactive on Duke Nukem 3D coming to SEGA Genesis:

Duke Nukem 3D, a personal computer classic title released in early 1996, featured pseudo 3D effects, a gritty foul mouth protagonist facing off against college humor styled enemies and levels. Tectoy released a Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis in North America) version of Duke Nukem 3D that was only available in Brazil in 1998. Nearly 20 years later, Piko Interactive has secured the rights to Duke Nukem 3D on the Sega Genesis for world wide release. Duke Nukem 3D will feature a proper box, cartridge and manual when it begins shipping.
