Simple Media System v2.8 (Revision 6) (PS2 Application)

Eugene Plotnikov has updated his SMS (Simple Media System) multimedia playing application for the Sony PS2. Using this program you can view multimedia files including DIVX, AVI, XVID, MPEG, MP3, etc … on your Sony Playstation 2 video gaming console.

Changes:

– some optimizations regarding avi indices;
– fixed some bugs in the FAT (USB) filesystem driver;

NGPAdvance v0.2 (NGPC emu for GBA)

FluBBa released a new version of his NeoGeo Pocket Color emulator for GBA.

Changes:

Wiicross (WIP) (Wii Game)

Scognito is working on Wiicross, the game is not out yet but there is an online level editor available.

Finally today I decided to write a post for my next upcoming homebrew game for the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube: it is called Piero’s Wicross.

As the name suggest it is based on a popular puzzle game Mario’s Picross, a game based on an existing puzzle game called Nonogram.

ScummVM DS v0.12.0 (Beta 4) (NDS misc)

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

Recovery Flasher v1.32 (PSP Application)

Hellcat has updated Recovery Flasher.

Changes:

– Fixed a flaw in the backup/restore functions that made them going haywire on CFWs of 3.52 and below when restoring a full firmware from a backup.
Now works fine on those lower CFWs as well

– Well, this one is more “just for fun” than meant serious…. I made an additional build of the app, that runns on unpatched, virgin, original 1.50
Restoring and creating backups works as fine as installing a fresh M33 CFW (3.71/4.01) – YES, you can go from 1.50 STRAIGHT AND NONSTOP to a fresh 4.01-M33 this way!
The other way round also works: restoring a 1.50 from a backup when running on 4.01.
(this might also help people having installed the 1.50 AddOn and so unable to use the original build)

FBA2x is a port of Finalburn Alpha for the GP2X console. It is an arcade emulator for MC68000/Z80 based arcade games. It plays CPS-1, CPS-2, Cave, Toaplan, NeoGeo, and other arcade games.

Dynamo v3.1.1 (PPC Application)

Dynamo is a cool, animated task manager for your PocketPC 2003/05/06 device. Say goodbye to boring text lists of running programs and instead manage your programs by sliding in images of all your running applications onto your screen. For each program on your device an image is saved and when you click the hotkey they all zoom onto your screen. Simply click the one you want and it will increase to fill the screen. Quickly seeing all the running programs is far more efficient than having to read through a text-based task list so Dynamo can make task switching a much faster, and cooler, experience.

Dynamo also allows you to quit programs from inside the image view meaning that it does everything your old text-based program manager could do.

As well as just looking generally cooler, Dynamo offers far more customization than before and allows the whole application to be controlled using either your PDAs hardware keys or the stylus.

G-Alarm v0.2.1 (PPC Application)

G-Alarm is an alarm clock with a special mechanism to wake you up. Before the alarm clock stops you need to guide a ball through a labyrinth.

Here I am presenting an emulator of PCEngine ported from the version I made for GP2X, gp2xengine, with a few things improved:

– Supports roms in format. Pce or compressed. Bz2 (the program can compress this format, pressing a button). Zip

– Supports ISOs and a special file,. Toc which contains a description of all tracks of audio data. In other words: my emulator supports audio as well (which may be in formats. WAV or. OGG) or discs with multiple tracks of data.

– I have prepared a utility to you cree file. Toc and tracks data format. Iso formato.ogg and audio from a CD-ROM image as a CUE / BIN

– It supports up to four Wiimote and you can configure the buttons to add or autofire exchange, for example

– You can save the state complete a game and retrieve it later to continue playing. The saves are compressed to minimize space

– It can capture a frame format. Bmp and then view it from the same Wii or export it to the PC to portray a good death , A score achieved or any curiosity. When entering a rom the meter is set to 0 and go to number catches in succession.
