Yeti 3D (GP2x and DC Port Techdemo/3D Engine)

Better late than never… Synkro did a”quick and dirty”port of the 3D engine Yeti 3D to the GP2x. Release notes:

1st quick and dirty port of the Yeti 3D engine by Derek Evans for the GP2X. I just used for this the MacOS-SDL, Dreamcast and GP32 ports. It compiles and already runs on an actual GP2X. Have fun but mind the GPL.

Beats of Rage v0.08 RC2 (GP2x Game Port)

The”Beats of Rage”port for the GP2x has been updated once more.Release notes:

After someone put the test version (0.07, which was not a release version) on the archive, I have prepared version 0.08 RC2, with the new SDL release which solved the problem I was having in the test version.As I have received only one bug from version 0.06, and it is solved, I consider now this version 0.08 as stable and probably final (but I’ll wait for some months before giving it the number 1.0)

Netrok v0.1 (GP2x Game Port)

Image provided by: MadelmanIt`s a platform game like Super Mario, but it is not a clone. It has a new, fast and unique gameplay with some puzzle passages, where you have to think, how to proceed. In Netrok you jump on small buttons on the ground and upgrade your player and depending of this upgrade you have to destroy the enemies different, and you have to react fast. Also Netrok has a very complex score system and you get score for everything well done and you loose score for actions, which makes gameplay easier. E.g. you can throw a level jump`in flag and if you die, you can replay level from the position of this flag, but it costs 1000 score to place the flag, and you have only once the possibility to throw it and you have to deliberate about where to place it, if you place it to early, you have to replay much more than if you place it later in the level, which is also risky, because you could die before.http://elligre.tk/madelman/index.php/gp2x/games/

Formido v0.1 (GP2x Game Port)

Image provided by: MadelmanFormido is one of those games, where you are loaded with some guns and you go shooting different things.‘Things’ in this case are big, ugly, – not green though – alien insects. The idea is to kill as many of those bastards as possible. Eventually they will overcome you, but struggle as long as you can. There are some power-ups to aid you in your honorable quest. Keep in mind, that those critters are rather tough and generally do nasty things when in close range of any player-characters.http://elligre.tk/madelman/index.php/gp2x/games/

GP2xole (09-02-2006) (GP2x Application)

Image provided by: Greg AllenGreg Allen a tool for displaying text on the GP2x.

I wrote this because I got tired of seeing black screens whenever I ran shell scripts. With gp2xole, you can see what’s going on!

You can pipe any text to it:
$ ls | ./gp2xole
$ ./gp2xole
