  • PC Side: Developed a GUI, reads from DS2Key.ini. Currently Buggy.

    Mocca v0.2.1 (GP2x Application)

Mocca is an alternative and probably better better menu/frontend/launcher for the GP2X. Mocca’s goal is to be as simple as possible, and offering all capabilities of the GP2X’s software in a single menu. It will automatically discover the emulators you have on your SD card, and show and hide the appropriate menu items accordingly.http://gp2xforge.rix0r.nl/projects/mocca

    Portable MasterMind v1.01 (PSP Game)

Portable MasterMind is a variant of Mastermind. Mastermind is a simple code-breaking board game for two players, invented in 1970 by Mordecai Meirowitz, an Israeli postmaster and telecommunications expert. The board game may have been inspired by moo, a computer program written in the late 1960s by J. M. Grochow at MIT in the PL/I computer language for the Multics operating system. Bochs GP2X (24-01-2006) (PC emu for GP2x)

Image provided by: MadelmanMadelman released a port of Bochs for the GP2x. Release notes:

This is a port of Bochs, a PC emulator, for the GP2X. It’s quite slow, so it’s not really usable, but anyway a nice proof of concept. Everybody knows no console can be famous if it doesn’t run Win95.

I’ve tried running FreeDOS, some old XT games and Win95 and everything works correctly. But mouse is not implemented and neither is keyboard, only a few keys have been mapped to GP2X buttons. Win95 boots in about 6:30 minutes, which is not really bad 🙂

GTA Pong v0.2 Multiplayer Edition (PSP Game)

Percival has updated his Pong game which is using the GTA savegame exploit. Thanks to psp-news/psp3d for the news.

This one is good if you have a friend nearby. It’s basically GTA Pong without the ‘computer’ opponent. You hold the PSP vertically, with one end of the PSP in your hand, and the other end in your friend’s hand. Move the paddle left and right and walla! Multiplayer using one PSP. Innovative!
