Virus Cleaner is a homebrew NES game by Roth. Goal is to sweep away Viri from the playing field, while it’s being protected by some sort of electric waves going around the screen.
To support the growing NES community, Roth released the source code of his game – although it seems not to be very well documented, it might be useful for others. In the case you are not a coder, you may still go to his page and grab the release for a few minutes of gaming fun.

Dan Lawton and Ken Beckett released the source code to Color Dreams‘ “Crystal Mines“. It was a former unlicensed commercial game for the Nintendo Entertainment System/Famicom.
The game is NOT released to the Public Domain / Freeware pool yet and possibly will never be, but the source code is available for free but bound to “Ken’s License”. All other artwork related to the game is still under copyright, such as the graphics, levels, sounds and music.

Alter Ego is a logic platformer by Shiru, Kulor and Denis Grachev. You have to switch between them the hero and his alter ego to clear levels. It is a bit similar to the game Binary Land.
This game is a remake of recent ZX Spectrum game of the same name. The original version created by Denis Grachev from RetroSouls, you can see video of it here and get it here. NES version got new graphics, original music by Kulor (composed for the game), and some other changes.
Interesting technical feature of this game is that it is written in C, with cc65 compiler. You can get source code here. More details about this and development process in general are available in notes.txt file provided with the game.
