Brakken has udpated the rules of his Wii Coding Competition.
Demos do NOT have to use the Wiimote as input device and demo coders also don’t need to make their source code public.
Quote from brakken at http://www.pouet.net/topic.php?which=5512 :
I’ve added exceptions on both rules allowing for demos to be submitted that do not require input nor require the release of the source code.

Music player for the Wii. It has a nice interface and is skinnable. It plays mp3, ogg and other formats but does not work with wma, aac or flac. It is a native Wii application (no Wii Linux) with the intent of being a multi-source media player on the Wii.
DragonMedia Player will pick up files anywhere on your SD card, and plays sequentially once a file has started. Simply install into the HBC by copying the dmp folder in the zip file to /apps/ and run the program. Do not rename the folder as DragonMedia Player expects things to be in the correct order to function. For the changelog, please look inside either the source or the binary zip file.
Changes:
Added ay/gbs/gym/hes/kss/nsf/sap/spc/vgm emulated support.
Sequential/random setting is preserved across skin changes.
Song highlight preserved across skin changes.
Fixed crash with usb keyboards and lan adapters.

Wii Homebrew Launcher is an interface similar to that of the Wii menu. It allows you to start homebrew stored on your SD card in the Wii front SD slot. Each program is represented by its own customizable “channel”.

Isobel ported Kobo Deluxe to Nintendo Wii.
Kobo Deluxe is an enhanced version of Akira Higuchi’s game XKobo for Un*x systems with X11. Kobo Deluxe adds sound, smoother animation, high resolution support, OpenGL acceleration (optional), an intuitive menu driven user interface, joystick support and other features. Recent versions also add a number of alternative skill levels with slightly modernized gameplay. Kobo Deluxe uses SDL for graphics, sound and input, which makes it possible to build and run the game on pretty much anything. [Description from it’s official page at http://olofson.net/kobodl/ ]
