MarioBreak (GBA Game)

Although MarioBreak! is a breakout clone, it has alot of cool new gameplay. For example, if the ball hits the floor. The floor will sink, each floor tile can be hit 3 times before it completely sinks into the lava. Mario , ofcourse, can’t stand on the lava so that makes it quite hard. Luckily there are enough powerups for Mario to collect (such as a mushroom which restores the floor tiles). Also if mario collects coins, he can fire a canon with the A-button. The canon will take 1 row out. The more coins you collect the higher the canon will go. The game features multiple levels.

PSPSSH v1.0.6 (PSP Application)

Dropbear is a small SSH2 Server and Client running on a variety of POSIX-based platforms. It has been mainly developed by Matt Johnston.

PSPSSH is a port of the version 0.48.1 to the PSP.

This ssh client gives you a remote access to your PC (if you have a SSH server installed of course), and you can then enter commands and run scripts as if you were directly in front of your PC.

This software is usefull for linux users who might want to connect to their PC/server from anywhere using a wifi connection, and then read their mail using text based tool such as pine, elm or mutt, run text irc client, watch log files, edit configuration files, restart services etc …

SNES Development website: www.snesdev.net (SNES misc)

Undisbeliever founded a new SNES development website:

I have just recently setup a website for SNES Development.

At the moment it consists of a blank SNES wiki (which I can’t work on until July), and the >Entertainment (a SNES development project group) discussion board.

To be honest, the website is still in development.
We currently have 2 major and 2 minor projects planned, and will be looking for another SNES coder to help with the minor projects in the near future.

If you like the site, offering feedback or willing to help. Please don’t hesitate to post here.

Greader2x v0.4 (GP2x Application)

Greader2x, a graphical text reader, for the GP2x got an update.

The main changes in this version are the addition of an audio player, the inclusion of config routines within the program, UTF-8 support for multiple languages along with language files to translate all the prompts/menus and an improved “on the fly” wordwrapping that decreases load times and means you don’t lose your bookmark when you change config settings.

Oldplay v1.20 (GP2x Application)

The Music Player Oldplay by Micket got an update.

VERSION 1.20
* 10 new formats supported: ADL, WLF, JBM, D00, TTA, APE, MPC, WV, MIDI, AAC
* Increased some clockfreqs since i found FLAC and other formats to be a bit to heavy
when scrolling. (Most are at 150 MHz)
* TTA (The True Audio) support with seeking and ID3v1 parsing (actually, i haven’t tested it)
* APE support with seeking and ID3/APEtag parsing. I only think newer version work though
and nothing over high compresseion rate will play (I intentionally disabled them).
* Updated AdPlug to latest version. New format supported: ADL, WLF, JBM, D00
* MIDI support. Needs the sound patches installed in oldplay/timidity/timidity.cfg
and oldplay/timidity/instruments/… (Just extract in the oldplay dir)
/mnt/sd/timidity/timidity.cfg also work.
It might take a few seconds to load midis though. (Not sure if i can reduce the wait)
* WV (Wavpack) support. No seeking or tag parsing present though. Not sure about WVC files.
* MPC (Musepack) with seeking (no tags right now, I got bored)
* Increased sample rate for libmodplug and sidplay from 22.05 KHz to 44.1 KHz, and changed sid’s to mono
* MPEG2 (and 2.5, i think) should have correct samplerate now.
* Fast accurate seeking in VBR mp3’s that has a Xing header.
VBRI headers would be supported as soon as i had one to test out (send me one if you got the FhG encoder).
* Zip’s are now listed among the directories, then comes playlists, then other files.
* Added another color to the theme, color for playlists. Updated the 2 themes i include.
* AAC-playback. No support for mp4 yet though. Support for ID3-tags
