This was the first coding competition GBAWinS.com ran – and i see it as a success, we got an overall of 10 entries, and i think it’s alot for a small compo like this one. We will surely run another compo soon. I hope to see more outstanding works even when we are not running a compo

Homebrew launched from PSP-OSS should always go back to PSP-OSS when pressing Home
LUA Files are supported and also go back to PSP-OSS
Mouse Speed can be edited from the Settings Menu
Short cuts can be created by clicking O on any item in the file file browser, then click on Make Ql and they will apper on the desktop. Eboots will have to be renamed.

Miyu has modified the previous patch for the GP2x firmware to reduce the writes to your NAND. This will increase the lifetime of your GP2x. Here are details:
It has now been optimized for Firmware 1.2.1 and you now have the possibility to either install the cleaned bootscripts, ext2 support for SD-Cards AND the NAND lock or only the Bootscripts, the ext2 support but not the NAND lock.
WARNING:This is something for people who know what they are doing. Keep in mind that doing something wrong can brick your GP2x easily. Also keep in mind to uninstall this patch, before upgrading to a newer firmware.

Image provided by: DweditDwedit has released another alpha version of Goomba Color, which is a Gameboy Color emulator for the Gameboy Advance. A couple of games already have pretty good compatibility (a compatibility list can be foundhere). Changes:
No longer shows colored solid tiles when the screen should be off
Fixed off-by-one scanline problems introduced in alpha 1. Now you can specify whether you want to emulate a GB, GBC, or GBA
Added double speed mode, either timers only or complete
Fixed splash screen corrupting graphics
Go Multiboot feature for smaller GB roms (and a couple tiny GBC games too)
Major changes to SRAM save system
Added 32k saves, Enter the menu with L+R to save the game’s sram
Stack writes to SRAM are now saved
Save files smaller in pogoshell
Some changes merged from Kuwanger’s version
Palette changes apply immediatly
