drunkencoders.com announced their 5th Annual Wintery Game Coding Competition a while ago. Entries can be submitted till March 19, 2010.

Goal:

Create a Nintendo DS or GBA game with a winter or holiday theme. Be it Wack-a-Santa or nuclear snowball fights with diminutive elves we want to see your wintery creations. Now accepting Wii and Gamecube entries (judged by the same criteria but awarded prizes from a seperate prize pool).

I managed to fixed the black screen issue, it was indeed related to the save game issue. The download link in the top post is updated. I realise that running it on an emulator will not allow you to break the record… so no more excuses now. 🙂

Plants vs Zombies is an adaption of the commercial Windows game “Plants vs Zombies” by Popcap Games (more information here: http://www.popcap.com/games/pvz/ ).

“Mini Tone Matrix – Tunes” is a mini tone matrix for Nintendo DS. It’s a small 8×8 grid of buttons. Tap a button to activate it. Press the arrows to tell the NDS how many times to play the tune. Then just hit play, and hear what you made with the button combination.
