BackupBuddy v0.9 (NDS Application)

BackupBuddy is a simple utility that finds all the new .sav files on your card and uploads them to an FTP server. The idea here is that you run this utility when you plug your DS in to charge at night. A few minutes later, you can rest assured that all your day’s hard play will be backed up.

Sudoku (NDS Game)

morganDS has released his version of a Sudoku game for Nintendo DS.

Release notes:

Features:
-Two generation options: random or seeded
-Quick puzzle generation (about a tenth of a second)
-Checker
-Corrector (can be turned on or off)
-Timer (can be turned on or off)
-Scoring system (can be turned on or off)
-Shows possibilities for current cell based on numbers you have already input in the puzzle (can be turned on or off)
-Select the number of givens
-Can use freebies if needed
-Choose from several backgrounds
-Choose from different music
-Nice touch-screen support

Known issues:
-On occasion, the program will freeze while trying to generate a puzzle. This happens, however, very rarely. Seeded puzzle #10 cause the program to freeze.
-The sound file for “Crossbones” is a little fuzzy due to several files conversions and compression. I’m planning on rerecording this file to improve sound quality.

Let me know what you think or if there are any bugs or improvements I could make.

DefenderDS (NDS Techdemo)

DefenderDS was intended to be a port of an Amiga version of Defender to the DS, written using PALib in C++.

There isn’t an awful lot here yet, but someone might find it useful (it has a sprite class, palette cycler class, sprite number management, etc).

gpSPhone v0.0.5 (GBA emu for iPhone)

gpSPhone is a GBA emulator based ZodTTD’s port of gpSP to the GP2X. gpSP is a great GBA emulator written by the talented Exophase. ZodTTD ported it to the GP2X, and added an (iPhone/iTouch compatible) dynarec. By using this coding technique, fullspeed performance of GBA is obtained on the iPhone/iTouch.

Release notes:

Don’t let the version 0.0.5 fool you, this is a large update. Thanks to a large amount of help from NerveGas (NES.app author), we now have a much improved GUI and sound! Also some performance fixes were implemented via the default frameskip settings and some dynarec tweaks.

There’s still some work to be done in terms of compatibility/performance, but it’s rapidly improving. And thanks to NerveGas we now have a nice iPhone and iTouch GUI and sound is now outputted!

Be sure to leave comments, and if you decide to make a video, please link to it here! I love seeing these videos.
