Mushroom Roulette v1.2 (Beta) (GP2x Game)

James Fletcher released a new beta of his Mushroom collecting game!

Release notes:

I have added two new well mini-games and a new gameplay element “hats”.

Here’s the lowdown on hats:
There are six hats and each hat gives you a temporary score bonus, if your are hit by a butterfly while wearing one the hat protects you, you loose your hat and the hat’s temporary score bonus but nothing else. If you are wearing a hat and pickup another hat, the score bonus from the first hat will become permanent and you will only loose the score of the new hat when a butterfly hits you.

Hat’s randomly appear like wells while you are playing the game.

I have also added a churning list of minor improvements! The windows build is avalible and the GP2X / WIZ build will be comming later today.

Let me know what you think! 🙂

MTCMatch (29-08-2009) (GP2x Game)

This is a 3-Match game like Animatch on GP2x Wiz. The goal is to destroy among number of buttons displayed on right side in 30 seconds. Every match increase time, but only to maximum of 30 seconds.

It is not 100% complete yet, missing high score list, more action in level, but very playable.

ScummVM v1.0.0 (RC1) (GP2x misc)

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

Some of the adventures ScummVM supports include Adventure Soft’s Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2; Revolution’s Beneath A Steel Sky, Broken Sword 1 and Broken Sword 2; Flight of the Amazon Queen; Wyrmkeep’s Inherit the Earth; Coktel Vision’s Gobliiins; Westwood Studios’ The Legend of Kyrandia and games based on LucasArts’ SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system such as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max and more. You can find a thorough list with details on which games are supported and how well on the compatibility page. ScummVM is continually improving, so check back often.

As this is a test release, here is a link you might need: http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Release_Testing/1.0.0

GP2X-Colem v1.1.0 (Coleco Vision emu for GP2x)

GP2X-Colem is a port to GP2X of Colem Unix version 1.0.

Changes:

– A thumbnail image is now displayed in the file requester while selecting any file with the same name of a previously saved game (roms, keyboard, settings). It might be very helpful to recognize that game later if you have thousand different games in your rom folder !

– Save state files are now saved using gzip compression (with STZ as file extention). It’s much faster to save or load states now. You can use gzip or 7-zip to convert old STA to STZ.
STA file format is still supported for loading, so you convert your previous saved files inside the emulator. (it’s now easier to identify and to load the right save state slot)
– Cheat support !
– Memory monitoring engine to find your own cheat code !
– Text editor to modify the global cheat.txt file
– Text editor to write your own comments on games
– Display first comment line while browsing game files
– Auto fire support for second joystick
– Zip rom files are decompressed in memory (much faster !)
– Improve file requester with virtual keyboard to choose sequentially rom files beginning with a given letter
– Add documentation for settings in help menu
– Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off
– Add several new hotkeys :
. settings such as fps, render mode, auto fire speed can now be directly modified inside the emulator (no need to enter in the settings menu)
. quick save / quick load current state
(no need to enter in the main menu)
– Add ntsc/pal option and fix issue with default speed (emulator was too slow in ntsc mode)
