PDRoms Team is looking for a Webpage-Designer (misc)

We are currently looking for someone who has expirience in webdesign (css, etc…) and wants to give PDRoms a new face. As PDR is a non commercial page you wont get rich, basically you will only do it for fame and fun.

We can offer you: A permanent link somewhere near the bottom of every page similar to “Design by xy”, while xy is linked to your page. Along with this we are willing to give you a brand new GBA Micro as gift (there will be no games with it).

If you are interested or if you know someone who could be interested, please write an email to kojote(at)pdroms(dot)germany

Please spread the news if possible. Basicaly this is the only step left to make PDRoms public again.

PDRC #3.666 results (misc)

EvilDragon and myself have finalized the judging, the results are:

#1 Matrix Runner – Gameboy Advance
#2 Dastardly Dungeon – GP2x/Fenix
#3 Elevator Madness (Pre) – Super Nintendo Entertainment System
#4 Subhunt – GP2x
#5 Monsterattack – GP2x
#6 Dungeon and Dragon – GP2x/Java
#7 Skeet Shoot – Gameboy Advance
#8 BugHunt2x – GP2x
#8 LCD Race – GP2x
#9 Watch Rally – GP2x
#10 The AcchiappaStelle – GP2x
#– Kick and Play – GP2x
#– Musical Chests – Gameboy Advance

We had a total of 13 entries, while two had to be disqualified. Rank #8 is shared between two entries as they had the same score.

Unforunatley we had to disqualify two entries.

  • Musical Chests did not comply with the rules as it had no proper G&W movement behavior.
  • Kick and Play was a great game, but didn’t match the rules exactly. Goal was to write a Q&W or Q&Q style game, instead a real LCD type game has been submitted, not dealing with the limitations of the mentioned two above. It was a hard step to do this, but our intentions were to give everyone the same fair chances.

Thanks to all contributors. The winners will be contacted soon. The files are available for download.

    PDRoms RSS Feed (misc)

If you can read this, congratulations! You seem to be privileged enough to recieve the brandnew RSS feed from the to be soon reborn PDRoms.

PDRoms wont be back online as webpage for another while, _but_ with this feed you should recieve regular news again, hopefully in the usual quality and speed. To mention it again: Following any links to pdroms.org will NOT work yet 🙂

Kudos to celeth, who is coding his ass off! 😉

We are also looking for three reliable beta tester, more information at the PDRoms Webboard located at http://www.pdroms.de/phpbb

Or you can visit us at EFNET #pdroms, but don’t expect a very talk-active channel 😉

On a sidenote: The new PDR will allow posting of approved members, coders are welcome to join when the time has come and spread their news directly to a hughe audience without delay. If you want to know more about this, please try to catch me either on the webboard or on EFNET. I also do have ICQ, AIM, Gadu-Gadu, MSN, Yahoo Messenger and Jabber on request.

    Status V (misc)

Good and bad news… first the bad ones. We only have enough money to keep PDRoms alive for the next 2 months (without domain costs and without covering the loss I had with the sponsor of PDRC#3).

All the sponsoring income we ever had, has now disappeared. The good news – Our coder is still heavily developing the code for the new PDRoms and it’s comming along well.

    Status IV (misc)

Finaly we are working on the new PDRoms internal code, recoding will take around a month, re-adding everything from scratch will take two months. It might get december and for whole january I’ll be on vacation in asia.

I think we can target February 2006 as new start for PDRoms, any earlier re-launch would be even a surprise to me.

    Status III (misc)

Before anyone hopes that we continue with the news for now, wrong thought. I was just in the mood to post. PDRoms will be fully back on track when the new design and the new code is ready. I think we can target November for a re-opening, whith a month break in January.

To tell more about the system: Everyone will be able to register with PDRoms. If you have a valued name, you get access to the news-module and can post things on your own, which will appear after a moderator has checked everything.

As the main code has not started yet, we still accept user wishes regarding the functionality.

    Regards
    Kojote
