Alienware, creator of CoverFlow, didn’t like his previous release (2.5) and decided to go on with development.
Quote:
Hi
I’ve updated Coverflow,cus I didnt like the 2.5 version.
I created a intro ,loading screen, rearreanged the covers layeout to match more like the real coverflow of iphone (7 covers on screen instead of 3),added new play, puse, stop buttons, also added volume and screen buttons for novelty.Added new icon and background pic in the EBOOT
It looks more realistic,it feels FLOW,CoverFlow.
As before,it saves the cover art images loaded from ID3 Tags to the covers folder for faster loading. So it needs a very long time (2s for one mp3) to load at the first time, but then it is very fast (1/2 s for one mp3) . I have also removed known bugs.Only tested on PSP SLIM.
Here is the download link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YE695OAD
TIP:instead of having entire mp3 albums,just put your favorite tracks per album,it works better (why put entire album when you will be listening to only 1 to 4 song per artist/album). Use CoverFlow 3.0 for your favorite songs only,and put the mp3’s in the MUSIC folder.
Have fun…

In the platform game Gannatsu Portable you have to collect items floating around the whole level. But you don’t only jump around, because you also can use a grappling hook to reach your goals or jump higher.

Blind Assistant is an attempt to help blind human, using softwares that run not on expensive and complex hardware, but on a simple Sony PSP.
Blind Assistant uses Nanodesktop tecnology for windows environment, it is able to speak with the user using ndFLite, a porting of the speech synthesis engine originally developed by the Carnegie Mellon University and it is able to recognizes the name and the position of the people that are present in that moment in your room, using complex algorithms (as Intel EigenFaces/PentLand PCA).
The face recognition tecnology is provided using ndOpenCV, a porting of the original Intel OpenCV libraries developed by the same author of the Blind Assistant and of the Nanodesktop SDK.
Filippo Battaglia’s version of ndOpenCV improves the Intel code because the algorithms have been modified in way to use EMI (Enhanced Mathematical Interface), an API integrated in Nanodesktop system, and written totally in assembly, that is able to use Sony VFPU to speed up the necessary computations. Using EMI, we can obtain the necessary CPU power.
This program works only on PSP custom firmwares. It has been tested (under PSPE and PSP) with the CF 3.71 M33-4, 3.80 e 3.90 M33-3. The program is able to auto-update itself using the wireless connection.
The actual version of BlindAssistant is able to recognize the name of the people that are present in front of the blind.

News on the homebrew front! A beta has been released for Daedalus R14, the Nintendo 64 emulator for the Sony PSP. This update doesn’t come from StrmnNrmn though, but from developer Wally of Homebrew Heaven.
The program is based on StrmnNrmn’s latest SVN source, and features the beginnings of Media Engine support. It might still be too early to hope for an official release.
Changes:
* A bit of ME support
* A tad faster
* A bit buggier.
* New Icons etc
Thanks to F-Zero for the news.
