Franxis updated MAM4ALL for GP2x and Wiz. MAME stands for “multiple arcade machine emulator”.
Changes:
– Added full image scaling (Rampage, Popeye, Super Sprint, etc).
Horizontal scaling with linear filtering is still used internally when applicable.
– More Neo·Geo games are playable, e.g. Art of Fighting 3, Fatal Fury and Pulstar.
Still some games run in the GP2X and not in the WIZ due to lack of memory.
(blazstar, kof96, mslug2, ninjamas, ragnagrd, rbff1 and shocktro)
– Upper memory is used as primary memory for all memory allocations. If the upper memory
is full, the Linux memory is used instead. Strangely the emulator is faster using this
approach and it avoids lock-ups.
– No more lock-ups when exiting from games to the frontend (e.g. Out Run, Shinobi, etc).
The GP2x version has not been updated yet!

timbrug & mbloemendal have finally released their port of BlueMSX to the Nintendo Wii.
Quote:
The BlueMSX-wii emulator can be started using the homebrew channel. For this purpose, the necessary files (main .dol file, icon.png and meta.xml) are released with this project. The best location for these files will be SD:/apps/bluemsx-wii/.
Except from the main .dol file, the BlueMSX-wii emulator needs some files on the SD-card. Most of the files are embedded in the .dol file and will be placed on your SD-card when the emulator is first run. These files will be placed in the directory SD:/MSX/.
Additional to these files, there needs to be a gamepack. As distributing the rom files gamepack is not 100% legal, these will not be supplied through the google code project.

NightFox has a new version of his PALIB extensions for us. Tis might be only of interest for the minority of Nintendo DS coders out there.
Quote:
Hi!
I just take my old lib for PALIB then renamed all functions from NF_ to PA_ to make easy for palib user to remember then adapt them all to lastest palib beta.
I removed also some “bad points” like the custom fonts and screen when initializes fat or efs and make simply to install and use.
Just copy all .c & .h files to your source folder, then include “nf_lib.h” for standard functions then if you need it, include also “nf_easylib.h” for easy version of some functions.
The resume of standart functions here: http://palib.pastebin.com/f3b2b11c3
“Easy” functions here: http://palib.pastebin.com/f20b19e23
The download of the lib & example on this post.

Gregory Montoir (aka cyx) has written an engine, which allows playing the Amiga 500 classic “Nicky Boum”. This engine has now been ported over to Dingoo Linux (Dingux).
Story:
The player controls ‘Nicky’, a little boy who embarks on an adventure through a fantastical land to find an elixir to save his grandfather from a spell cast on him by the evil sorceress Zoldrane.
Nicky can walk, jump, and in an original theme can throw apple cores to defend himself against the monsters occupying the levels. Aside from throwing apple cores, the player can pick up other items to throw at enemies such as bouncy balls and logs. The logs can also be used to build bridges at certain parts of the levels.
Nicky is able to jump on enemies to defeat them, which is often more difficult but lets the monsters drop point items to collect. When jumped on, some enemies such as giant snails will split into multiple smaller versions of themselves.
The game consists of 8 levels based on 4 separate themes including a swamp, dark forest and a castle.
