Slide2Unlock2 v1.03 (PPC Application)

S2U2 (Slide2Unlock2) is a simple lock/unlock application which has the iPhone style slide unlocking. It can be used as a screensaver while you don’t use your device. And it’s has a CallerID function (but some devices may not work, so please try it first); and S2P control plugin.

Although S2U2 is now called v1.03, it doesn’t mean it can be run perfectly on your device. Thanks to different devices produced by different vendors. So, please test it before use it everyday, especially the CallerID function.

Changes:

– added unread count for Windows Live Messenger.
– fixed the bug introduced in v1.02 that Task count is always displayed no matter what setting.

GP2X-CAP32 v1.4.0 (CPC emu for GP2x)

Because faster is better, here is another version of GP2X-CAP32 the CPC emulator for GP2X.

Changes:

– Speed improvements
– Add gzipped disk file support, reduce disk file size from 190k to 20k !
(you may gzip original dsk file using www.7-zip.org)
Of course, gzipped disk files are also browsable using disk explorer
inside the emulator, and when possible, they can be run automatically.
– A thumbnail image is now displayed in the file requester
while selecting any file with the same name of a previously
saved game (snapshot, disk, keyboard, settings).
It might be very helpful to recognize that game later if you
have thousand different games in your disk and snapshot folders !
– The virtual keyboard is now usable in the file requester menu to
choose the first letter of the game you search !
– In the emulator menu you can go directly to keyboard and settings
menu using the L-Trigger key.
– The sound can be set a bit louder

Kaiten Patissier (GP2x Game)

A new game for the GP2x is out, Kaiten Patissier!

Quote from Indiegames:

Kaiten Patissier is the latest game from D.K., several months in the making, and which I highly recommend. It uses the same “collect-them-all” mechanic as Good Luck Natsuki, but is built entirely around the concept of rotating the levels to re-adjust the locations of platforms, boxes, walls, floors, and ceilings (Kaiten is Japanese for “rotate”). After collecting all but the last item in each level, a bonus item will appear somewhere in the level, so be sure to keep an eye out for the bonus items if you want to get 100% completion.

As I note, I contributed several of the levels in the game, so you’d better download it and check it out!

The zip file contains versions for Windows, Debian Linux (should work okay on other distributions as well), and the GP2X.

Name: Kaiten Patissier
Developer:Alpha Secret Base
Category: Puzzle
Type: Freeware
Size: 15MB

Thanks to http://www.dev-fr.org for the news.

Mobile Chat v3.0 WIP (iPhone Application)

Mobile Chat is a chat application for iPhone’s. There are WIP news abou the upcomming v3 release.

Quote:

Well, we’ve begun testing the MC 3.0 application and so far, everything we’ve claimed is a reality. Here’s the reality of our tests:
1. We had a conversation from a computer running Adium to an iPhone running MobileChat.
2. We chatted for about 20 minutes at which time, we restarted the iPhone.
3. MobileChat’s new backend went into play and it immediately began queuing the incoming messages for the iPhone.
4. As soon as the iPhone came back online and MobileChat was opened, the messages started coming down to the iPhone.
The person running Adium, had no idea the user’s iPhone was rebooted. They just thought the person was getting their IMs…and they were!
The new MobileChat truly re-defines instant messaging on the iPhone. We’re very happy with our tests and we’re excited to release the new version as soon as AppStore opens up. (Whenever that may be.)

ScummVM Wii (03-06-2008) (Wii misc)

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

Some of the adventures ScummVM supports include Adventure Soft’s Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2; Revolution’s Beneath A Steel Sky, Broken Sword 1 and Broken Sword 2; Flight of the Amazon Queen; Wyrmkeep’s Inherit the Earth; Coktel Vision’s Gobliiins; Westwood Studios’ The Legend of Kyrandia and games based on LucasArts’ SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system such as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max and more.

Changes:

restructured the runtime paths
files from the selected game are now correctly loaded (check the READMII)
increased the virtual screen size for the IR pointer
its now easier to exit the sam & max inventory
fixes the goblins 3 scroll issue
added the keys “y” and “n” to the dpad (for simon the sorcerer)
