Hello folks… Using various pieces of code/art from many people (VBA Emu browser, pspsdk samples, pochi style backgrounds [http://pochistyle.pspwire.net/]), I wrote for myself a tiny file browser to : – Browse the memory stick – Enable the USB connection without exiting the tool (and so update the files) – Run 90% of the homebrew apps (emus, games, tools… located on the memory stick) available on the psp directly from the tool (I hate all those slow icons from the PSP OS + %, ~1 directory names, I prefer one then a browser 😉 ) As it is a”private”tool, it is not very nice, not very powerful, not very allwhatyouwant, but really saves time for me 😀 So feel free to use it…. the code is pspsdk compliant and available on request if somebody wants to improve it, fix bugs (home :D)… Keys : X : select, run O : cancel ^ : dir up R1 : USB on/off Home : direct exit 😀 the callback makes me mad…

abszero has updated his port of Angband for the PSP. Changes:
Fixed the slow loading. Now loads in just a second or two unless you delete certain files and it has to recreate them. [Gendal]
Expanded the view to be 80×33 instead of 80×25. Note: If you continue a character from v0.1 or 0.2, your town will still be the old size. The next time you start a character the town will be larger [Gendal]
The bottom line of the display is now reserved for the battery meter and the revamped macro interface. [abszero]
The macro ‘stars’ have been flattened to fit into a single line. They still behave the same way, just the five entries are all in a row. It’s a little less intuitive at first, but the macro commands are intended to be short enough to memorize anyway. [abszero]
For the time being, SELECT is mapped to ‘*’ (cycle through targets) and START is mapped to ‘t’ (choose target) [abszero]
Font changes (new PSP buttons) and additions (arrow keys) [abszero]
Code cleanup and commenting [abszero]http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=7856
ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the game, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed! Beta 2 for the PSP is out now…http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=2550
sougen updated his Genesis emulator for the PSP onec again (second update today). At the threat, visit page 22 to get the download.
Just a small update. I’ve optimised the display code a little, so you’ll notice a speed improvement in all scaling modes now. The emulator should run better than all previous versions.
And JcBoyCool, yeah, the analogue stick and trigger controls is just a temporary measure until a proper ingame ui is written.

sougen updated his Genesis emulator for the PSP. Thanks to smiths for the news.
I have put up a new release of PSPGenesis. This is more of a test to see ifpeople still get the random hangs. I’ve play tested the emulator for a few hours without any hangs so it looks like that bug is possibly fixed now.
The main changes in this version are:
Fixed random hangs (hopefully!)
switched to pspsdk
Save state support
Preliminary (unoptimized) Screen Scaling
(Really ugly) preliminary source release
Currently you can only save/load to one game slot because I don’t have an in-game ui, but this will be resolved soon when I rewrite the ui. Please see the readme for the in-game controls for saving/loading and screen scaling (Yes, I know it is a bit fiddly to use at the moment)

Caimans Video Codec is now available for the NDS. You can get a few movie trailers from the official page. It seems this”video codec”is a commercial product, probably it’s still worth to check the trailers. Thanks to Kenzo Kabuto for the news.http://www.ds-video.com/index.htm
YatzyDOS is a port of a game called”yatzy”(yatzee???). Read on here:http://forum.gbadev.org/viewtopic.php?t=6320
NeoCD/PS2 is a open source NeoGeo CD emulator running on the Sony Playstation 2. It is a port of NeoCD/SDL, the excellent NeoGeo CD emulator by Foster. Since there is actually no SDL library on the PS2, all SDL portions have been removed and replaced by PS2″native”libraries (using PS2SDK).
