scawf has released an improved version of Iro with fewer bugs. (Check the threat at the second page, you will find the download there.)http://www.playeradvance.org/index.php?showtopic=12675
Image provided by: abszeroabszero updated his rouge like game for the PSP. This is a classic looking BBS RPG game. Changes:
– Fixed bug that made it difficult/impossible to change the top level macros. Fixed a display bug in the macro editing instructions. Fixed a bug where editing a macro automatically executed the macro too. Added a battery indicator. Meter in the bottom right corner indicates remaining power and says whether or not the battery is charging (AC). As the battery drains, the indicator shifts from blue to red to help prevent the battery going out by surprise. Now runs at 333 MHz during the slow startup phase, cutting the load time from a little over a minute to 40 seconds. Once it reaches the point where it either loads/creates a character, it goes back to 222 MHz. Fixed up the thread priorities and such so that the Home button works reliably now. Suspending still crashes the game though. Makefile now has a ‘release’ target that compiles the release folders Screenshot function now available. Unlike the html screenshot most versions of Angband take, this one records the actual image data on the screen (including the OSK, etc if they’re visible), and saves it to a bitmap in the lib/user directory. The screenshot command is ‘(‘ as is normal for Angband.

Rlyeh has released his unfinished game to the public. In fact it is only a technical demo, but read the author notes:
I have been not coding lately since my broken relationship. But ah… life is going better after all. I think it is time to release my unfinished and dropped game as a proof-of-concept binary (nachoyague has to drawn about 2000 animations yet… btw any graphician out there?, huhuhu :). I haven’t touched the sources since February, and it was a two weeks coding work. Enjoy the water, the shadows, the reflections, the gazillion of sprites, and all that… btw, there are two eastern eggs which change the background and light conditions (only tested with BLU units).

PocketSPC is a SNES sound chip emulator for the Nintendo DS. The SPC700 is capable of 8 channel stereo playback at 32,000Hz with ADSR envelope support per voice, and an 8 tap FIR filter. Currently all 8 channels are emulated in stereo, with full ADSR support. Changes:
Enabled preamp which I forgot to do in last release Added PCALL/SLEEP opcodes, should help compatibility KON/KOFF were being trashed on write, fixed Fixed setting of ADSR when note was in release state When note is finished, envelope state is set to none now Fixed TCALL opcode, Rudra no Hihou now works (probably others as well…) End of sample block decoding bug(s) fixed – finally fixes errant samples playing in zelda&many others Added echo hack so that songs that were silent before now play back (earthbound) – This hack can also cause some issues with songs that use the echo with some wierd filters, such as some of the final fantasy 3 songs. Improved accuracy of BRR decoding, samples are more accurate now Dropped mixing rate to 24000Hz, gets rid of crackling during intense songs (legend of the mystical ninja)
As I am at work right now and can’t modify the Giana’s Return pages, I am posting a few”work in progress”news here.
The project is still NOT dead The project has a new coder who will stay unmentioned for now. He is currently in the task of recoding the WHOLE game. As he is busy with regular paid work, this task might take a bit long. The project has a new gfx artist who will also stay unmentioned for now. He is currently retouching all the graphics of Giana and will be done with most of the retouching by this weekend. The GP32 version is probably dropped forever, but this is NOT sure yet. There might be versions for Linux, BeOS, MacOS, PSP, Dreamcast, Saturn and other computers/handhelds/consoles. I (Kojote) currently try to contact Armin Gessert again, who is the copyright holder of”The Great Giana Sisters”and who also kindly allowed us to use his trademark, if he wishes to not create the one or other port due to legality issues. We don’t want to harm him and respect him much. Unfortunatly he has not responded to one of my two mails yet. Due to security reasons, the webboard had to be completly deleted. It is too much work to take care of two boards, so a probably new”Giana’s Return”discussion board will be merged with the boards at PD Roms. Stay tuned for more news…
