Atari 2600 News
atari2600land is still working on his Qix style Atari 2600 conversion.
Release notes:
If I made the playfield 200 pfblocks, then I could just divide the # of pfblocks filled in by 2 to get a %. This is what I did in this next version. Also, the automatic line stops once you reach a playfield block, whether it be the border or not and adds the %age to the score (the 5th figure should be a ‘%’, I just haven’t gotten around to making it yet.

Bee Ball is a volleyball type game, but the difference matters. You and your CPU player are bees and of course you don’t push around any ordinary volleyball, no it’s a honeyball!
This version fixes a graphical glitch, introduced in yesterdays update.

GoSub2, the successor of GoSub has been updated… Build 53 is out!
Release notes:
Added levels 22-24. I think I’ll work on a Street-Racer-type minigame soon so the monotony of level designing doesn’t wear on me.

Release notes:
It’s AI update, the unique way I found to fix that bug mentioned by Nathan is disable Stroke movement, in ball served by bee judge. You need touch the ball at first, to do stroke, but this time is enought to respositioning opponent player, to try blocking. And in overall, AI is more competitive. Still easy, but more challenging. I not fix the screen jump bug yet.
For now there is just a NTSC version, PAL version might follow.

Atarius Maximus has released the fifth release client of his game “Cave In”, which previously made it in the news as “Adventure Game”. The game is pretty complete.

Fort Apocalypse is having his hands on a new game! – Titan Diamonds.
Release notes:
In development… So far only have
* a lander
* crumbling playfield
Plans (I think these are realistic) are:
* landing pad where you refuel (ball)
* shoot rock in attempt to find diamond that is same color as playfield (also ball) except it flickers (the diamond)
* ufo runs across top and shoots down at you
* lose fuel by hitting playfield
* run out of fuel and you crash
* 2 players
* can shoot opposing player
* get points by collecting diamonds (“win” game at 10 diamonds?)
* can select different levels (may need help with playfields if people have ideas, but remember gravity)
* playfield only crumbles when ufo’s shots hit ground?/blockquote>

Changes:
– Added serve rules (like in old volleyball rules). You need serve ball to score a point. See the pointer in score.
– Added title screen music (Sorry Nathan, it’s best I can do)
– Changed options menu fonts
– Codes optimizations
– Revised all game speeds (player movement and ball gravity)
– Finally, new AI code (but not means better AI code, still the basic)
– Fixed many (I hope all) bugs in net collision
– Added ball graphic trick
– And others things.
This version might be the final one.

GoSub2, the successor for GoSub has been updated… Build 51 is out!
Release notes:
Well, I’m up to 19 levels, the # that the original GoSub had, but with 32k, I’ll be putting way more. One thing concerns me, though. Bank 4 has 1,887 bytes left even though it has 20 playfield commands in it. How is that right? And bank 8 only has 2,079 bytes left instead of 3,796. Is that due to the Superchip, or is it weird? Well, anyway, to play the mazes, use the level select code (fire + right to choose a level). Levels 16-19 are the newest ones.
