Quote:

Based off woogals gp2x port. Again this using the 8 bpp to 16 bpp conversion, so theres some wasted cycles

GPFCE v0.4 (NES emu for Wiz)

Orkie released Gpfce, it is a Nintendo Entertainment Systeme (NES) for Wiz.

Quote:

Hooked it up to libcastor and got it playing nicely with some advice from Pickle on how to build it. Slight tearing because I haven’t got any kind of double buffering in libcastor yet (though I did get wait for vsync working earlier, so at least half of my objectives for 0.3 have been met).

Libcastor v0.2 (Wiz misc)

Libcastor is a minimal library for the Wiz designed to access the hardware as directly as possible.

Quote:

Updated! Since the last release, I have added 8bit paletted mode support, alpha blending, colour key inversion and colour key transparency. Also available now is some stuff for the RTC. I have changed the framebuffer interface slightly: it now is accessed through lc_fb0 and lc_fb1 rather than plain fb0 and fb1, to avoid naming conflicts with your own code. I have also hidden the internal buffer pointers now because there was no point to them being accessible anyway. The colour key stuff isn’t tested because I don’t know how my 16bit colour values get converted to 24bit internally, but it should all work.

Next to work on: fixing double buffer and implementing some kind of wait for vsync .

SDLQuake2 v0.01 (Wiz Game Port)

Pickle ported SDLQuake2 to the Wiz.

Quote:

I came up with a workaround for the 8 bit SDL problem. Basically I use SDL to convert from 8 bit to 16 bit.
Well the wiz is the little beast that could. It still runs quake2 at a very playable level. I dont have actual fps numbers yet, but they are good.

Wolf 4 SDL (23-01-2009) (Wiz Game Port)

Pickle released an engine port, which can be used to play Wolfenstein 3D.

Because Wolfenstein 3D is showing swastika’s during ingame, we can not provide any links as it would be against german law. In particular it would be against paragraph 86 StGB “Verbreiten von Propagandamitteln verfassungswidriger Organisationen”.

Allthough this is just an engine port of Wolfenstein 3D, the game itself is still indexed.

SDL Quake II (21-01-2009) (Wiz Game Port)

Pickle manged to get SDL Quake II running on Wiz. For now it seems to start up, but trashes your framebuffer.

OpenWiz Toolchain (16-12-2008) (Wiz misc)

Here is a package of stuff you need to get started developing for the Wiz under Linux. It is derived from Open2x.

Copy the config file as .config into a crosstool-ng 1.2.4 setup and build the toolchain with that. Then run the library build script.

It isn’t very well tested yet, but if your stuff builds with this it will probably work on an OpenWiz FW.
