ZX-81 released a new version of GP2x-Thom.
Changes:
– Load and save state !
– Speed improvements
– Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
– Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off
– RTrigger/LTrigger keys can be used in the keyboard settings menu to navigate between Normal, LTrigger and RTrigger compose mapping.
– Add several hotkeys :
. settings such as fps, auto fire speed can now be directly modified inside the emulator (no need to enter in the settings menu)
. quick save / quick load current state (no need to enter in the main menu)
– Default Hotkeys can now be set in the keyboard mapping menu (useful to add hotkeys on existing/previous keyboard files)
– Option to prevent the blue led to be displayed when L or R are pressed

Pickle and Hitnrun released their port of DOSBox for the GP2x.
Features:
– Change for a high compabiltity with many games, no more crashes
– Touchscreen support (in game mouse suppport)
– Zoom feature (zoom in high resolution games showing the zoom in section at the native resolution)
– OSD feature: see the cycles, frameskip, fps, and game exe name on screen
– Fullscreen option: scale resolutions smaller than 320×240 to fit the screen (a must for touchscreen users)
– No more SDL cursor
– Profiled the code for a possible 20% increase in speed
– And all the options you would expect from the previous releases

Franxis and team updated their MAME port for GP2x. MAME is a “multiple arcade machine emulator”.

– New SunA 8 bit games added (MAME 0.37b15): Hard Head (hardhead), Hard Head (Bootleg) (hardhedb) and Rough Ranger (rranger).
– Optimizations in Xain’d Sleena.
– Fixed the NEC cpu bug that caused slowdowns in Raiden (MAME 0.37b15).
– Fixed some bugs in the I86/NEC cpu emulation. This includes raster effects problems in Geostorm and the 99 credits bug in Lethal Thunder (MAME 0.66).

fMSX is a famous emulator of the MSX, MSX2, and MSX2+ 8bit home computers. It runs MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ software on many different platforms including Windows and Unix.
It has been first written by Marat Fayzullin, and later Vincent van Dam ported it on SDL.
GP2X-MSX is a port on GP2X of the version 2.7.0.40 of fMSX-SDL from Vincent van Dam that ZX-81 had previously ported to PSP.
This version fix game compatibility issue (all games that required painter.rom cartridge)

– Speed improvements in CPU and sound emulation
– Add missing keys such as HOME, GRAPH, STOP
– Add option to increase emulated sound volume (different from gp2x volume)
– Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off (useful for games such as 1942)

STPPC2x is a GP2X port of Simon Tatham’s Portable Puzzle Collection, a set of 27 addictive logic and puzzle games.
This beta has 21 fully-working games, the rest are in various states but only two are completely unplayable on the GP2X – Mines and Pegs.
Feedback is appreciated (especially from F-200 and USB mouse users) and full source code is available from Ledow’s website.

Notaz has continued ZodTTD’s and Exophase’s work and presents an updated version of gpSP for GP2x.
Release notes:
The second public release of a GameBoy Advance emulator. Thanks to tweaks and dynarec it can run A LOT of games fullspeed with sound!
Small fixes by notaz to prevent the evil crashing and increasing speed 🙂
