ShowMiiWads v1.4 (Wii Application misc)

ShowMiiWads is a ‘Wad File Manager’ for Windows. It displays information about wad files, edits them, gives a preview of the Banner and Icon and more. New since Version 1.0 is the included NAND Backup Browser ‘ShowMiiNand’ which displays all titles installed in your NAND Backup (No BootMii Backups!).

Editing WAD files can result in a brick of your Wii. Only use these features if you have a bricksafe Wii, meaning either Preloader or BootMii/boot2 is installed, and if you know what you’re doing. Also, your Wad files could be destroyed, so be sure to have a backup.

This application comes without any express or implied warranty. The author can’t be held responsible for any damages arising from the use of it.

Changes:

– MIOS will now show up as MIOS instead of IOS257 (BC will show up as BC)
– If you delete the System Menu, you will now be asked to keep the settings (data folder)
– Fixed a bug when changing the channel title
– Added support for Korean channel titles (reading and writing)
– Updated French translation (thanks Cyan)
– Added simplified Chinese translation (thanks kavidwf)

OpenTyrianWii v1.7 (Wii Game Port)

OpenTyrian is a port of the DOS shoot-em-up Tyrian. Tyrian is an arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter. The story is set in 20,031 where you play as Trent Hawkins, a skilled fighter-pilot employed to fight Microsol and save the galaxy. This port is done by Molokai.

Changes:

– Impossible, Suicide, and Lord of Game difficulties now available by default in difficulty select menu.
– Change in onscreen keyboard startup and shutdown routine. Result is an increase in speed when loading the save/highscore name entry screens.
– Rich mode (a.k.a. loot) now accessible through “OpenTyrian” menu option.
– Latest changelog now included in meta.xml (for the benefit of the HBB users).
– Special Games/Modes menu added. Access by simultaneously pressing left and right sidekick assigned joystick buttons (or F15 on a keyboard, if you have one that far up). Includes choices for both Arcade ships (i.e. UNKNOWN, WEIRD, NORTSHIP, etc), as well as the two difficulty settings for ENGAGE (suicide and LOG). Will eventually include Destruct mode (2D tanks game), but since it’s not rigged to work with joysticks at the moment, it’s useless on the Wii.
