atari2600land has posted an update of his Atari 2600 homebrew game “Jack and the Beanstalk” which is based upon a fairy tale with the same name.
Release notes from atari2600land:
Fixed a few things.
First: Whenever you enter a castle room, you may have noticed that the dog is green for a frame before it goes to brown. I significantly reduced that (or in some cases, completely eliminated it.)
Second: If you go up in the first screen in level 4, you would have gone back to the castle. This too has been fixed.
(By the way, the fact that there are no bushes in the first screen of level 1 is intentional. I’ll keep it that way until I put in the new screens at the last minute.)

Release notes from atari2600land:
I think this will lessen the time needed for getting the two rooms for the goose and the harp, but you probably won’t notice a change. Also included is the instruction manual i’m working on in case this gets to the store.

Release notes from atari2600land:
Changed the scoring system in the castle level. I doubled the bonus points for the bonus point timer, and changed it so you only get 50 points for the goose and harp instead of 100. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do next?

atari2600land has posted an update of his Atari 2600 homebrew game “Jack and the Beanstalk” which is based upon a fairy tale with the same name.
Release notes from atari2600land:
Fixed all that watermelon stuff. I tried to make the music play the whole length of the song, but no matter what key I tried to put it in, the 2600 didn’t have the correct notes for it. Also, you can no longer carry the watermelon around once you press fire. If you press fire, you must shoot it then.

Release notes from atari2600land:
Changed the score font. This version temporarily has the new font in red at the title screen (this will not be in the final version, it’s there just for a test.) Since Greensleeves is playing in the first level, I tried to go with a sort of Elizabethian font. How did I do?

+Fixed the “shy” troll’s movement.
+The music shuts off during the beginning of the end.
Just beat the game for the first time (i haven’t really been trying to, though. Been too busy playtesting only the parts I’ve been working on, hence the need for passwords.)

atari2600land has posted an update of his Atari 2600 homebrew game “Jack and the Beanstalk” which is based upon a fairy tale with the same name.
Release notes:
New version (I know, the second one today. I have nothing else to do, so…)
Changes:
+Level 2: Added the bird swooping down (or up, if the case) to try to get you. I also added two new screens at the end so now there’s 32 screens instead of 30.
+Level 3: Fixed everything about the giant’s room, both in and after (i think.) You can no longer keep going into the giants’ room and kill him multiple times.
By the way, I forgot password “99” which is a shortcut to the giant’s room; and the music at the end is gone.
