Alien Breed is the first in a series of science fiction computer games played in the form of a top-down shooter for one or two players. It was released in 1991 by Team17 for the Commodore Amiga and later in 1993 by MicroLeague for MS-DOS. [from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_Breed ]
Homebrew Developer Mike H. is working on a GBA version of this excellent shooter since a while and has sent a few screenshots to PDRoms some time ago. With a pretty much hughe delay here are a few impressions from the 80% completed GBA version (see screenshots above you).
For those out there who like Alien Breed, there will be a commercial 3D sequel soon, so a possible GBA version would be a great cookie and advertisement to all fans of this series.

You won a wellness holiday is the ice caves of the alps. Sounds great? It was, until the evil snowman zombies took over the whole resort (after all, the glacier is their realm, so why not?).
You were captured in your ice-suite after having a shower, but fortunately they let you have your turbo hair-dryer (as useful for snowmen as a flamethrower for humen). This is your only chance! Use your hair dryer as a weapon and try to overcome the guards and security measures of the snowmen to fight your way out of the ice-labyrinth.
