Ripholes in Rubbish (IFG Mobile 2010) (NDS Game)

The world of Ripholes in Rubbish takes place in a sketch book. The player takes the role as a sketched avatar in a magical animated land. Her goal is to find her lost friend, Arky.

Ripholes’ core mechanic is the player’s ability to rip and paste level elements and other game characters. Although the player can move and jump freely, they will not be able to complete all the levels without using their ripping ability.

The game is broken down into different levels, or sketchbooks. These levels are further broken down into pages.

The ripping ability’s first noticeable effect is that it freezes time, allowing the player to rip and paste anywhere within the main screen and within the same page as the avatar. The player has a limit of three ripped objects she can hold in her inventory at any time, and objects can only be pasted once they’ve been ripped into the player’s inventory. Ripping creates a hole that the player can pass through, such as on the page below or a page above if the player is standing underneath it. Ripping in white space will create only a hole, and the blank paper is discarded by the avatar.

FailSafe WIP (02-12-2009) (A7800 Game)

The idea of the game is that you are a tank on enemy grounds trying to prevent the launch of missiles that will basically destroy the world.

The main goal of the game is to a) Get access to the launch code, and b) reach the missile silo to enter the code and stop the missiles from launching. The code is made up of four hexadecimal digits (0-9, and A-F).

In this game, the object for each level is to reach the opposite end of the level. For the first 5 levels, once you make contact with the Depo you will receive a random position of the code. It is possible to get the same position more than once. On the sixth level, once you reach the missile, you must enter the code as quickly as possible using the joystick, and press the button to see if it is accepted. If it is, you have saved the day, and the game begins on a harder level. If you don’t enter the correct code before the impact….

Changes:

All sounds added except for ‘Save the World’ tune.

Release notes:

OK, I got the music working good now. left difficulty A turns it on while left difficulty B turns it off. In two-player mode, music is automatically off since I need AUD1 for player 2’s sfx. Thanks, RevEng!

Android Midi Pad v2.0 (Android Application)

Android Midi Pad is a midi touch pad for Android devices.

This project uses the touch capabilities of android enabled devices to send midi messages as would do a hardware controller in music production systems.

A connection is made to a computer via bluetooth, and a server build using python on it is paired to the device and receives messages from it. Those messages are then sent to a virtual midi bridge.

* Automatically switch on bluetooth if not enabled on devices

Remote Touch DS v0.3 (NDS Application)

Remote Touch DS gives you the opportunity to remote-control your computers mouse, keyboard and other things from your Nintendo DS hand-held console. This solution is not like remote desktop, but more like an advanced remote control.

The solution is client-server based, obviously, and requires you to have a server running.

* Adding left/right shoulder buttons to also mimic mouse clicks.

* Client GUI features/eyecandy implemented. Also better netcode.
