Crazy Golf DS v1.0 (NDS Game)

ismaro3 is currently working on a Minigolf game for Nintendo DS named “Crazy Golf DS”. While his official blog does not contain a download yet, you can get the game at GBAtemp (linked below) or here directly from PDRoms. The author will appreciate bug reports, so please help him with his task to make the game even better.

Frantic (30-08-2011) (A2600 Game)

Frantic by SpiceWare is a game for Atari 2600/VCS inspired by Berzerk. Basically you have to kill everything that moves.

Kidspaint v2.0.2 (Wii Application)

Kidspaint by Uffe Flarup and Nicklas Schmidt is a painting program mainly for kids. Up to four people can paint on the screen at the same time by using different Wiimotes.

Epic Adventure v15 (A2600 Game)

Epic Adventure by Byte Knight is an entirely new Adventure game built from the ground-up featuring 32 rooms / mazes with all-new items and enemies (see picture below). It’s kind of a mixture of Adventure and Lord of the Rings. The goal of the game is “the usual” – get the golden chalice back to your home castle. But first, you must kill the Dragon in order for the chalice to appear in one of three places – the Wizard’s Castle, the Dragon’s Castle, or the Troll’s Cave.

Changes:

* Added level III with randomized items.
* Level I is easier – two stabs to kill dragon, one to kill troll. No hawk or wizard (so my kids can beat the game!).
* Different title screen – I think the Evil Magician’s castle & gate looks cooler…
* Orc disappears after you kill the wizard, so you’re free to explore.
* Should work on Harmony cart now (untested).

Mind Maze (30-08-2011) (Final) (NDS Game)

Mind Maze is a compendium of mini games in which intelligence and skill with the stylus are the basics to solve them. With todays release the game is declared as final, so let’s see if the final will really be final 🙂

Cascade Beneath v1.0 (PS3 Game)

Cascade Beneath is a simple fall down clone. You just move from side to side and try to let the platforms push you off the top of the screen as they slide up.

Release notes:

This puts me at two (admittedly small) updates in only one day! Huzzah! Basically everything I said about the recent update to Dont Get Crushed applies to this new version of Cascade Beneath.

It has been remade with PSL1GHT, now works on CFW, has a new font, speeds up over time, pauses when the XMB is brought up, there have been some slight changes to the random placement of the gaps in the floors and there are several other nearly unnoticeable differences.

Dont Get Crushed v1.1 (PS3 Game)

Don’t Get Crushed is a PS3 port/remake of ThatOtherDev’s previously released Wii game of the same name.

Use the left analog stick to move the grey ball left or right and avoid the other balls as they bounce across the screen. If you get crushed under one of the bouncing balls then its game over and your score is reset to zero. Your high score is automatically saved to your hard drive.

Here is an update to something I made for PS3 ages ago. It was originally made with the official SDK but it has now been remade with PSL1GHT and will work perfectly fine on CFW (is it still not possible to run the old stuff from the days of Jailbreak devices unmodified on CFW without getting an 80010009 error?).

There have been a handful of changes. Everything speeds up slightly as your score increases. The game pauses when the XMB is brought up. The text is larger and has a different font. There are a lot of other alterations but it is all minor stuff.

The one very noticeable change is that it has returned to being played with the analog sticks (you can use either one) instead of being sixaxis motion controlled. I wasn’t able to get the motion controls working (I have been having bad luck with controls lately lol). I would greatly appreciate it if anyone want’s to point me in the direction of an example showing the use of the sixaxis with PSL1GHT. It isn’t really a problem though. Motion controls are fun but it still plays well with the analog sticks.

Without Escape v1.2 (NDS Game)

Without Escape by PacoChan is a point & click adventure inspired in Resident Evil and Silent Hill, although there are no monsters. The main objective is to escape from your house since it’s happening a lot of weird things. The game is only in Spanish for now, but it has multi-language support. It would be nice if someone could do an English translation.

CQuake (r39) (Game Port)

CQuake is a port of id Softwares “Quake 1” to the Nintendo DS. The main goal of this project is to drastically reduce the memory requirements needed to play Quake on the DS.
