HeadOverHeels has released a new version with SA-1 support and with “Speedhacks” of “SnesAdvance” support.
This is an Alpha, so is much less compatible and slower than previous versions.
This version is only recommended to play Super Mario RPG, is not a substitute for the previous version. When you launch Super Mario RPG must appear a “speedhacks loading” message, if you cannot see that the game is not loading correctly. If you overclock to 260 you can play SMRPG between 20-40 fps.
This version also supports Kirby’s Dreamland, Kirby Superstar & Parodius 3 , but they are too slow. You can try to add the specific speedhacks for each of these games to improve performance. You have to edit snesadvance.dat and add the specific hacks that you want, it is text file.

Clonk2x is a port of Clonk Planet, a very interesting combination of Worms and Lemmings, combined with other strategic elements.
Changes:
New
Improved ingame speed (rain no longer slows the game down, stilly floating points…)
New frontend, should be easier to work with. And displays scenario descriptions.
Scenario editor in the main menu. So now you can think up your scenarios on the road.
Rebuild with new toolchain, better GCC, so could be faster because of that. With highest optimalizations.
Removed
Also, it now longer allows you to select different players, but I don’t think anyone used that feature. (It always defaults to “Player.c4p” so just rename your active player to that)
It also no longer allows you to select other object packs. As it’s impossible these days to get object packs for clonk planet.
(Note, a you could hack these features in if you wish)

Adventus updated his Hexen 2 port for the GP2x.
Changes:
– I’ve added support for portals of praevus (actually this was working before you just could play the demoness character or play the intro.). I had to do a nasty hack to get this working, but it seems stable.
– You can now play the demoness character in the original missions.
– Model Caching. Improves loading speed (after initial level load anyway).
– Improved the general rendering speed.
– Improved the transparency rendering speed.
– Other minor things i can’t remember.
At 275mhz, Ram timings ON, no music and Portals of Praevus installed i get 13 – 18 fps. It definitely feels 100% fullspeed with these settings.

RockRain is a brand new game for GP2x coded by Saboteur.
The goal of the game is pretty easy to follow, avoid falling rocks from the sky.

Micket has continued the development on OldPlay. OldPlay is a portable multiformat music player for the GP2X and other platforms.
Changes:
VERSION 1.32
* Fixed bug song length that I accidently introduced in 1.31 (for game music)
* The improved volume control wasn’t enough, so I increased it even more. Now there is 50 steps (only 10 is shown in the display) with very high precision at lower volumes.
Download “oldplay.zip” from Mickets page.

Exophase has updated his PC Engine, Turbo Graphics 16 emulator Temper. It fixes minor issues, from last weeks initial release.
Release notes:
Temper (Turbografx EMulator PEr Request) is a PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16 emulator for GP2X.
Until it’s on the archive you can download it here: http://exophase.devzero.co.uk/temper_v0.55.zip
This is a release to address some of the initial problems in the release last weekend, add some minor optimizations, and add bz2 support. I was going to add zip support, but this was just easier.
I’m going to hopefully focus on adding support for the CD-ROM components next. Wish me luck.
Let me know if I broke anything this time please.
