Richard Quirk aka Quirky is currently working on a port of “Elite AGB” to the Nintendo DS.
Here are his notes from today:
So I’ve started working on Elite DS. First thing I did was to compile my old GBA code with the latest devkitArm r21. No problems there, fixed a buffer overflow and now it runs fine… on VBA.
My homebrew hardware for the GBA has gone the way of the dodo.
Well, not quite, but my new laptop doesn’t seem to have a parallel port! It has a plastic blob in the shape of a parallel port, but there’s no way to pry the thing off – luckily they’ve remembered to etch the universal symbol for “printer” above it, to mock me. This makes the F2A linker thingy rather useless. One more reason to port all my GBA projects over to the DS, eh readers?
Chaos is a tactical combat video game for the Nintendo DS based on the 1985 Spectrum game ‘Chaos – The Battle of Wizards’. Originally remade for the Gameboy Advance, this version has been rewritten once more from the ground up.
Up to 8 wizards compete in a turn-based battle to the death, involving elves, dragons, fire, lightning and the odd Gooey Blob. The last wizard standing is the winner.
cid2mizard has updated his horse racing game. It now features better graphics and some minor fixes.
The game is in french language.

Chuck Norris Facts DS is out… it doesn’t need further information, beside that the program is in french language.
Bunjalloo is a web browser for the Nintendo DS. It is still under development, but can already display simple pages and follow links.
BackupBuddy is a simple utility that finds all files of the extensions you specift on your card and uploads them to an FTP server. The idea here is that you run this utility when you plug your DS in to charge at night. A few minutes later, you can rest assured that all your day’s hard play will be backed up.
This assumes you can connect to a wireless network and have access to an FTP server.
